Comfortable Support Without Feeling Squeezed
I’ve tried a lot of shapewear over the years, and this one strikes a nice balance between smoothing and comfort. The fabric feels soft but still has enough compression to give a smooth look under dresses and work clothes. It stays in place pretty well and has non-slip lines along the edge so it doesn't move throughout the day. The seams are minimal so it doesn’t show under most outfits. It' perfect for everyday wear. It makes me feel more confident without making it hard to breathe or move. Overall, a solid piece of shapewear.

Comfortable even in the heat
Wore it today for the first time and was very surprised at how well it worked and how lightweight it was. I was worried about wearing it in August in south central Texas I would pass out from heat stroke or be forced to take it off for relief but neither were true. It stayed in place, was comfortable and didn’t pinch anywhere. Definitely the most comfortable shape wear Ive ever owned. I wear a 14/16 in jeans smaller waisted larger hips and got the xl/2xl and it fit well. Actually kinda excited to wear it tomorrow for work and see how it does for a full day of teaching.

Very Controlling while also Light and Comfortable
This garment is very comfortable, the most comfortable tummy controller I've worn. I wore it for 8hrs to an event and as light and comfortable as it is, I was surprised by how well it controls the tummy, hips area. It's high waisted and DID NOT fold down, but stayed in place, above the midriff. I simply have it a 4-star rating bc it kept riding up on the thighs. It wasn't a problem with the thighs riding up, as I was wearing a skirt (with a form fitting dress/skirt, it may be an issue), it also wasn't uncomfortable, just a bit annoying. I really do like this garment for control, comfort, and it felt very light/breathable even in the heat of summer. It fits true to size, I ordered XL, the same size as my leggings.

Possible Merchant Error
Lots of the reviews described the product being too big when ordering the size according to the chart. The shorts fit, but they didn't really provide the support expected. On the advice of a few, I purchased a size xs/s instead of m/l like I normally do.When I looked at the shorts, I thought there was no way that I was going to be able to fit my skinny-squishy 165lb body in those itty-bitty things. But I did. And without much effort at all. They're tight, but they're not snatching my waist like they're supposed to. Everything is smoothed out. No bulges. And I can breathe, but it didn't shape my stomach. My stomach is still pooching out like it did before. There's just smooth flub-blub now instead of multiple flub-blubs and no muffin top (which is nice).I sat down on the bed to see if it was possible to still breathe (it was) and I looked at the package. On the back of the package it says "Plus-size black small" and it now makes sense why I am able to wear it.I'm 5'11. 165lbs. All of my weight is in my stomach, hips, and thighs. I wear a size 10-12 in jeans.Plus-sized clothing is made specifically to accommodate a body type that is beautifully voluptuous. Plus-sized clothing is labeled "16W" or "16 curvy" fur example. The W or curvy indicating that it will fit a fuller figured individual. I know there's not a small in plus-size, but I think I've figured it out nonetheless:I have a friend that wears a size 14 curvy which is another way to tell the shopper that this product is constructed differently from a size 14 regular. The curvy or the W are constructed in a way that allows a fuller figure to settle comfortably unlike the regular that would be far too tight and constricting in the waiste, knees, and calves. Anyway...I checked on Amazon and found a plus-size Shapermint, high waisted shaper shorts that can be purchased in size S-3xl. These shorts are made like the curvy or W to accommodate curves that a woman who wore a regular small would not have. I believe the seller may have accidentally shipped a plus-sized garment when the purchaser wanted a regular rather than plus. And I think that this is why some buyers are talking about sizing down while others are describing being swallowed by a boa constrictor and not being able to breathe, or move, or sit.Maybe if I had a regular small then I'd be complaining about that, too because, trust me, I may be skinny-squishy but I haven't been able to fit into a small anything since 9th grade. And that was 32 years ago. 🤷♀️

Comfortable tummy control!
I wear a size 14 pants (XL) I purchased the XL-1X size. They were very comfortable and the legs rolled up a tiny bit occasionally, the top never rolled down once... if you wanted more tummy control perhaps go down a size. They are equivalent for as a pair of control top panty hose.. (if you are of a certain age you will know what I mean) just what I was looking for for. I was comfortable all evening. Easy to put on and take off. The waist band came all the way up to just under my bra. Again and did not roll down. I highly recommend them.
