The appliance is easy to set up. I've used it one time. After turning it on, I took care of some household chores and occasionally checked the machine. Everything ran smoothly.

UPDATE: Last week I happily made 15 liters of distilled water. This week I made about 10 ounces before it quit DEAD. My efforts to troubleshoot it were all for nothing. Dead-dead-dead. I have already thrown out the packing supplies being happy it worked out of the box. I am screwed.I disconnected everything, turned it off connected it all back up and hit the reset button, nothing. Twice I did this after letting the unit cool. The outlet in which it was connected was also tested.Previous review: Good news: showed up 4 weeks early, has 2 filters. Weird: The instructions are minimal. No warnings and not UL approved. No information regarding filter sizes. The cleaning instructions are missing a vital piece of information; "Step 2 pour 1-4 teaspoons into tank depending on the amount of scale". Teaspoons of what?If you look at the photo the lid does not sit exactly perfect on the tank. The glint of silver should be covered by the tank top. This was the only distiller available so I bought it. I should have waited for a better quality distiller. Oh-well it is working.

The water is really clean, it's so interesting to see all the residue after the machine has distilled 4L of waters... make you wonder what you have been drinking all this time. Awesome product.2nd Review: 3-4 months later I left machine on to run at night as usual, woke up next morning and machine had not made any water, power is still on because green light was lit, however I pressed the reset button several times with no results. I don’t know what else to do to trouble-shoot it.3rd Review: Customer went over and beyond to help me fix issue. However, the machine did not work still. They gave me a full refund although I had to pay for shipping to return the item.

This unit hopefully will eliminate buying distilled water for my CPAP.The unit arrived several weeks early. The plastic power button was loose in the box and will not fully reinstall. It appears one hook is broken. Even after double washing the plastic jug with hot water and detergent, there is still a hint of plastic taste. The unit top (condenser and fan) does not appear to be cleanable and even after three full cycles there still is a slight machine oil taste, although the charcoal filter finally seems to eliminate that.As a test of how well the distiller eliminates contaminants, on the last trial I added a few ounces of tomato juice to the source water. Sure enough, although the output water looked clear, both my wife and I immediately tasted tomato juice. So clearly some contaminants travel up into the condenser and re-condense into the output stream. Obviously not much, because the water was absolutely clear. Would I use this to obtain water from a source with possibly dangerous contaminants- probably not. Perhaps as a future experiment I'll try double distilling.Bottom line, I'll use this, but it isn't quite as great as I'd expected.

Unit stopped working after 2 uses. Troubleshooted fan, plugs, and fuses and found no problems. Suspect it is the thermostat/reset button. Too late to return it to Amazon. Hopefully sellers customer service will make it right.Update: Lolicute agreed to refund my purchase if I paid for return shipping to Texas. I recently purchased this distilled so far it has done a great job. It is very easy to use.
