The bag is high quality, well made and very sturdy. It can fit about two tiny dogs, and very roomy for 1 6lb chihuahua. Enough to stand up, sit up, curl around and lay flat on their side, even.The wheels and the handle are removable and they do add weight to the bag. Quite heavy once attached. Must be careful when attaching the wheels without clipping your own finger.I bought two bags with the goal of being able to fly with my chihuahuas. Seeing that it is described as "AIRLINE APPROVED". The size of the bag is "airline approved" as a carry on if you're placing your bag in the compartment bin above your head. However - you are not placing your pet on the overhead bin. They go under the seat! They must be able to stay under the seat and without obstructing the path/aisle if you're on the end.The size of this bag is not intended for "under the seat". At least with United Airlines and American Airlines.The required soft sided kennel/carrier are as follows:American airline:Soft-sided kennel (recommended)18 x 11 x 11 inches / 46 x 28 x 28 centimeters (length + width + height)United Airlines:The recommended maximum dimensions for soft-sided kennels are 18 inches long x 11 inches wide x 11 inches high (46 cm x 28 cm x 28 cm). Soft-sided pet carriers can exceed these dimensions slightly because they are collapsible and able to fit underneath a seat without blocking the aisle.Southwest Airlines:Your pet carrier must be able to fit under the seat in front of you. Not for a Beefy Frenchie!
I was so happy with the carrier until I was pulling my Frenchie in a busy airport. Not sturdy at all! He had plenty of room to stand, and turn around while zipped up, he just kept falling over on his side while pulling. I finally had to carry him (30 lbs) through the airport! Though it was VERY inconvenient, at least I got my workout in!

What to expect when traveling on an airplane
It was easy to pop the wheels off but tricky to get back on. You have to take the wheels off to fit under the seat. I struggled with getting them back on when on the plane so I carried her out and was so FRUSTRATED trying to get the wheels to snap back on! You have to gave them all backwards and then they will snap on. I would practice and few times before traveling. Very roomy thought for my 14lb dog

Yay, our dog fits.
Haven’t used it yet, but we tried several other carriers that didn’t work for our long 19 lb. mini Schnauzer. This one has the height and length, yet will squish under the airline seat. I only hope they let us on as the carrier is larger than the the airline requirements.

Comfortable
Works perfectly for traveling with small dog across country. Oversized carrier still conforms to airline restrictions. Works so well airline personnel were asking where we got it to use for their travels needs.

We love this carry on.
Just travelled on aircanada with 20lb jack russel terrier to Costa Rica. It was perfect, roomy enough and he seemed comfortable. Fitted easily under economy seat and we opened up ends in flight. We didn’t use the wheels as we let him walk in the airports but it is a great feature.Very happy. I did a huge amount of research and bought various pet carriers to try ( all returned) this was a keeper.Can highly recommend.
