Very nice raincoat!
I ordered this raincoat for my mother. It's spring time in Ohio, and ugly jogging suit jackets and coats are just not needed anymore. Plus, who wants to get soaked in the rain wearing a cotton sweater? It has been so stressful searching for a raincoat, and I was happy to come across this one. My mother is a curvy woman, and she wears a 2X in jackets, shirts, and coats. I was extremely disappointed to see that this coat only went up to size XL. I showed it to her and she really liked it, she was disappointed as well. Something told me to go ahead and order it in the XL anyway, and so that's what I did. I figured I'd just return it if it was way too small. The raincoat arrived, my mother tried it on and it fit perfectly, it's even A LITTLE BIG on her. Remember, my mother usually wears a 2X in coats. We were both so surprised. It came in a nice pouch. You can fold the coat up and put it away to wear later. It is kind of thin, so I'm not sure if you could wear it if it was raining and the temperature was below 45 degrees (depends on what you can put up with). I wish that the sash belt was much longer.I will be ordering one for my self as well. I will update my review as she wears it to see how durable it is.

Pretty much unisex, length should be good for most adults.
We wanted an emergency raincoat to keep in the back of my car in case of a sudden "gully washer". I have a poncho, but it isn't all that long and my wife has another nylon packable coat which she generally carries in her car or purse, but it's relatively short. She got this beige/khaki one figuring it was more or less unisex, in size XXL. I figured if it keeps most of me dry, I don't care what it's called. It was roomy enough to fit me (5' 9", 220 lbs. in my old age) and long enough to suit me. It's not so long my wife would trip on the hem if she borrowed it, although she's about 6 inches shorter and a lot lighter. Since it's so thin, she figured the belt would take care of the excess fabric, and the coat would even cover her shoulder bag or whatever if she put the coat over it. It was a little over-priced, but frankly the men's version was even more overpriced, IMHO. As for the hood, it does have an extension (sort of like long ears) on either side for tying, and there's even a clear visor that folds out. And yes, the hood does roll back up so you can put it back into the zip-close collar as needed. Even managed to get the coat back in the pouch, more or less.

I may have liked it if it wasn't so huge
This was huge. I ordered a small and I was swimming in it. I am 5'4 and usually wear a size 6. This came nearly down to my ankle and was wide enough to fit three people. It was a shame it was so large. I may have liked it if it wasn't so huge.

Pleasantly Surprised and Satisfied
After reading some of the reviews and asking a couple of questions, I was a little skeptical, but I am very pleased with this purchase. I had hoped for a lightweight coat to fit over my winter medium weight down jacket and shaggy winter hat and this is perfect. I am 5’4”, I got the medium, it fits over my jacket and hat and falls about 6” above ground. I guess you would consider it large if you were to wear it over just a dress or similar weight clothing. The hood does cover very well and it does have ties. They are not strings, they are outreaching tabs on the fabric of the hood, but they can be tied. I like that the hood zips into the collar and I appreciate the carry pouch. The coat is waterproof. I’m happy.

A very nice poncho...not so much a "raincoat"
This is by far the fanciest poncho I have ever purchased. That being said, you really can't call it a raincoat. It is not as nice as the picture seems, and is very very thin. I was expecting this to be more of a trench coat, so it did not meet my expectations. It is however very long, inexpensive and seems pretty durable so it will get an extra star for that.

Seems good so far
I gave 4 stars as I haven't actually used it yet. I', 5' 4" & it comes nearly to my ankles, so it's long, but I won't get wet! It's also large, so order down a size or 2. The hood rolls up & zips into the collar. The carry bag has a nice handle on it. Getting it back into the carry bag might be tricky.

It was pretty flimsy for the price
It was pretty flimsy for the price. It is hard to find a good rain coat that is long & has a hood that's lightweight with a liner. It says you can put in the pouch provided for easy storage in your purse or car but folding it just right is a problem for me. I couldn't get it back in the pouch. I think it will still do as an emergency coat for my car but if I had known....
