Lion Brand Yarn Wanna Make a Blankie Yarn, Calluna

I absolutely love this "cake" and the finished product. I made a 48" x 34" blanket, crocheting using single stitch. The yarn is SO soft; not at all "sticky" like some fat, soft yarn can be. The colors are beautiful. I wanted a very spring-like colored blanket, and I finished it in one weekend. It would be suitable for baby blankets also. I'm using my new blanket as a cover for myself when I'm sitting in a recliner watching t.v. to keep warm. I have nothing but good things to say about this yarn. If you want a more oversized blanket, you'd have to buy two or more - but it's so worth it! LOVE this!

I Purchased the spool of yarn and I’m not one bit dissatisfied the yarn is beautiful and it’s well worth the money that I paid for it it was not expensive and let me tell you I got my moneys worth so anybody looking for a nice full of yarn it’s bigger than what it shows in the picture and you won’t be dissatisfied

The yarn is great to work with, very soft, comes out of ball nicely. I had 2 knotted tied together strands which is never fun to work with. Caution-be sure to weigh yarn! I had 2 and the first was 8 oz. short which makes a big difference.

A little frustrated to find that the yarn has cuts and ties through out the skein but that’s a manufacturer’s issue not the seller.Good yarn though and just as advertised.

7 year old Granddaughter picked this out for a blanket for her. She likes the softness and the colors. Another granddaughter saw this blanket and I’m now making a second one with same yarn, same colors as she wants hers to be the same. It’s soft. Easy to work. I used single crochet. It’s sized to fit on twin bed. I used 2 skeins of this yarn to make it.

The yarn is very soft, chenille material. There is a TON on the ball and you can crochet a 26 by 26 blanket (using single crochet) with one ball. I used four and made a King sized blanket for the bed PLUS a blanket for a dog. The one caveat to this yarn is that EVERY ball has 3+ joins in it. I’ve heard this review elsewhere so it seems to just be the nature of this yarn. I didn’t find it hard to hide the joins, as the yarn is so bulky, but if that bothers you, beware. Otherwise, great product for a quick and satisfying (and SUPER warm) blankie!

Very large amount of yarn which makes it well with the price that it’s listed at. It’s also very soft and I think will do perfect for the baby blanket I plan on making with it and so much more.

I just love this yarn! I wanted to learn to crochet and make a baby blanket for a friend so I bought this and OMG it is soooooo soft!!! My blanket came out so good and I’m so happy with the thickness and feel of it. I’m definitely buying more of these to make more blankies!

My first project..making a blankie for my great granddaughter. Easy to work with and loved the colors and softness of blanket.

Thought this was alot bigger very disappointed
