McRae Mens Desert Tan Suede/Nylon Panama Military Desert Boots

apologies ! I've been super busy and meant to do a " review " after 2 weeks of usage. Actually received these on May 5th., 2019. Like back in my military days, I run in these at 4am 5 days a week. great boot. I actually wear a size 12 narrow. this one is a size 14 wide. fits as suggested. I just throw on a pair of thick padded " WINTER " socks and it's all good.reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that the boot laces are super thin and come un tied after a few minutes for running. so instead of lacing them all the way up I leave room to tuck them inside the boot near the top. problem solved.If you only walk around in these there's no issue but if you prefer to run or jog in them you may want to change out the insoles ( like I did ) with ones geared for running.

I like these boots but the soles have started to unglue themselves. Too bad since I use them regularly as my hiking boots. Got a refund! Thank you!. I bought another pair. The soles are extremely hard, probably works very well for abrasive and loose dirt, but not so much on colder weather, with slippery roots and stones on the walking paths. Some wet wooden bridges are like ice sheets on these boots; no grip whatsoever, had to wade the creek rather than risk a fall (No railing).

needed new boots and my normal company stopped selling boots that were like these in the size I wear, so I have tried a few brands I would normally have just scoffed at like rothco, and wellco. so if you are a fan of the swartzcoff style boot this is exactly what you are looking for. they are actually a bit better than the last pair of boots I bought from my normal brand (altama). sure this boot is not as trendy as some of the newer styles of boot but it is a time tested design that has proven itself effective the only issue I can say I have with it is price but you do get what you pay for so I am not against spending a few extra bucks to keep my feet in good shape.

Not the same boot as advertised in photos. This is a $40 boot not a $130 boot!

I use to own three pair of same exact model boots but different brands and by far this is the best one that i own, i don't know and i don't care about how long it will last, the main thing is the look and this boot got it for sure, just keep in mind to order a size smaller than your jogging shoes and you are all set.

Good design, order a half sizer smaller than your normal size

Boot fit like it was supposed to. Size was right and the break in period was short and not painful.
