flavor wasn't very smokey
I was very disappointed in the flavor of this --NOT hardly smokey at all! I have had some amazing and excellent smoked pepper, but THIS brand is not that. We will use it up as regular pepper because one can hardly tell the difference.

it's just pepper......
don't be fooled about the small package. It's small and overprice whole pepper.....I put the "whole bag" in my pepper mill and it didn't even fill it half way.....there is " no smoke flavor " at all.......just pepper.......

Absolutely fantastic!
Absolutely fantastic! These are the best peppercorns I've ever tasted... That smokey flavor really comes through and makes dishes taste amazing. I have a tall metal hand crank grinder and these work perfectly with it, fresh cracked pepper is the best! I like it pretty much on everything, but it goes really well on eggs, burgers, steaks, & chicken I've tried it on so far

Doesn't impart smoke flavor
Not nearly enough smoke flavor. It's a good black pepper and the corns grind crisp and fresh, but the smokiness I am looking for isn't here.

Great for making dry rub, seasoning (beef or halibut) steaks
A great seasoning for proteins, the smoke flavor isn't overwhelming at all. Didn't like it so much with veg and pasta dishes.
