2x4basics Dekmate Deck Bench Bracket – Sand, Single

I made the bench to add sitting to our dock and it has been great! The bench brackets were easy to install and I was able to complete the bench in a few hours. I used 2x6s and they are working well.

I ordered 3 of these in the fall so I would have them in the spring. Two of them were in a box with hardware to install. The single one was in a plastic bag with NO hardware. How do I get this fixed?

These brackets do exactly what they say they will do. It made the setup of a bench on my deck very easy and painless. They do flex a little bit more than solid wood, but given the ease of use, I'm happy to give up that flex. The only complaint that I found, along with some of the other reviews, is that the hardware is kind of crappy. Save yourself some headaches and buy a pack of Simpson SDS25112-R25 to mount them.

The Dekmate 90168 Hopkins 90168 2x4basics Dekmate Bench Bracket, Sand - 2 Pack is a two-pack, and the price is currently nearly the same here at Amazon.As for the product itself, installation is fairly easy as long as you have the lumber on hand. Much easier with a helper than working alone. Resulting benches are sturdy, and about as comfortable as you can get while sitting directly on a wood plank. Great alternative to installing a deck railing - adds extra seating space, and frees up deck space that would have been taken by chairs. Highly recommended, but be sure to check prices of the 90168 2-pack before purchasing this single pack.

Look a bit scary at first, but once you tie a few together with your lumber, they are extremely strong. I used only 2x6 in my build and it removed all the gaps. 2x6s are the way to go, it looks much better and hides the plastic brackets completely.

Second time I purchased these. I love them and finishes off the end of my deck

Don't buy

Built a bench with 8 of these. Worked well and looks good on my deck.

I paid double for one deck bracket, when I should have received 2 brackets for that price. Shameful.
