Fun with Plastic Canvas: Beginner's Guide & 9 Useful Projects (Plastic Canvas by Tiger Road Crafts)

Less than $3 for easy patterns and starting instructions is a good deal. All the projects great for teens and adult beginners. Patterns are easy to modify once you get the hang of the craft. This is an inexpensive craft to start, especially if you have access to scrap yarn or can obtain some from thrift stores. The plastic canvas and needles are available in lots of craft stores and Walmart. Plastic canvas is less than $1 per sheet and the needles come in packs of 5 for about $1.50. Once you work a few of her small patterns you should be able to branch out to larger ones with ease. Also you do not have to use the colors she selected but at first that might make things easier to follow. The 7 count plastic canvas projects she has in the book are great for those of you who use glasses and also makes the projects work up faster. If you tried needlepoint and found it too tedious or too tiny to see then this is your craft. Great for mom or grandma and the kids to learn together.

I made plastic sheet crafts (Kleenex box covers, scissor case, etc.) as a teenager but it’s been a while so needed a refresher. Book provided a very good review of stitches, and how to attach and finish off pieces. Carpal tunnel keeps me from crocheting now so glad to know how to get back into this. Projects look cute too!

I got this for my daughter who is showing an interest in here and crafts. It shows the stitches clearly, and gives clear instructions how to create the designs. Both she and I are very happy with this.

Booklet offers good quick-start tips for beginners, projects are quick and easy to follow, full-color illustrations and clear, simple directions. Most projects contained in this booklet are actually useful and I've been asked to make a few for friends and family members. Shipping left something to be desired. But that's certainly not the Booklets fault.

The author isn't stating that the actual project materials are included with this book. Only a List of the Chapters (or) Subjects the booklet covers, like a 'Contents' page in a book.

This is a good basic book for beginners. It tells exactly how to do this craft, and has a few fun patterns.

This will be a gift for Christmas, but I have looked at it. It is nice.

All the projects are lovely, in my opinion, and more modern than many I've seen elsewhere. It's only a short book, but good value for the patterns included. The projects mostly use small amounts of knitting yarn in worsted weight, which is equivalent to aran weight in UK terms. I'm glad I bought this kindle book.

Great little book for starters of any age. I'm 65 and haven't done this craft for years. Going out tomorrow for supplies.
