Very pretty and cute harness
Had to send the small back for my 11 lb harbanese dog. The neck was too small. The quality and durability of this harness is greatPlenty of adjustments. The quick release is well made. No Velcro. Easy on, easy off. The dog seems to like it.

Runs a little small...
The neck was a little too small for my Maltese/Shih Tzu when I purchased the "small". I exchanged it for the medium and it fits much better. The quality is really nice, the pink is very pretty, and easy to adjust the size. We are very happy with her birthday present. Definitely recommend.

Seriously so cute!
These are adorable harnesses! We have one in pink and red. Our Bailey is appx 6 pounds and we bought an extra small and a small. The extra small is way too small and the small is a little bit big on her and can’t be tightened any further. It doesn’t cause problems for her but does hang a bit around her tummy. She looks adorable in it and it’s so cute in comparison to a regular harness! She gets lots of compliments on it 💕 it’s a decent price for a harness and gives a different look with the cute button and ruffles in gingham! They alsoWash up nicely

BIG difference between the small and medium sizes and neither will work well for my frenchie puppy due to non-elastic opening.
We are adding a female french bulldog puppy to our family and wanted to have a harness ready for her when I fly out to pick her up at the end of August when she turns 8 weeks old. I didn't have measurements when I ordered an extra small (stupid decision), and when I received it I realized there is no way an extra small would fit over her rapidly growing noggin. This harness has to fit over their heads, so really the neck size is almost irrelevant, and the material is NOT STRETCHY....AT ALL.I returned the extra small and ordered a small after inquiring with another french bulldog puppy owner who advised her 11 week old frenchie's medium puppia harness was still a bit too large for her puppy. While awaiting the small vivien harness to be delivered (and as part of my nesting phase) I went ahead and ordered the medium size as well for her to grow into b/c this style is just so darn cute and amazon has great prices. So I end up receiving the small and the medium on the same day. You would think I'd be covered with these two sizes, but the medium is sure to be way too large for my frenchie at first, and the small is still too small to fit over her noggin. The breeder sent me measurements (by me request) after I had placed these orders a week ago and her skull was already 12 inches (the small vivien harness only has a 10 5/8 inch head opening) and based on photos I've seen she has grown like a weed since then has probably already has a 13 inch head (which is exactly the size of the head opening on the medium vivien harness). You would think the medium will be perfect seeing as her head might barely squeeze through the 13" opening, but the rest of the harness is sooooo much bigger than the small and too big for a puppy body.I don't have the x-small still to compare it to the small, but from my memory of the x-small they almost look the same size; but there is a HUGE difference between the small and medium. I was going to return the small, but I decided I will just get out my scissors and sewing machine and make some modifications (like add some elatsic to the head opening) so her head will fit through and she'll have a nice fitting harness until her little frenchie body fills out the medium. I'm not sure what the large looks like, but I'm sure we'll be in a large before too long due to the nonadjustable/non-stretchy head opening; or we may need to try a different style puppia harness, as I'm not sure if my issue is unique to the vivien and I don't want to have to keep making modifications that will detract from the cuteness of this harness. I hope this helps someone trying to make a decision on sizes. I read many reviews before my purchases, but everyone seems to make reference to the breed or weight of their dogs, rather than the size of their head/necks, so most reviews were unhelpful to me. I will add a photo of the small and medium harness side by side so everyone can see the difference in sizes.

Held up for 4 years and very cute.
Very nice & cute. I have 2 female yorkies, a 6 1/2 pound & a 5 1/2 pound and the bigger one can get out of a collar or other harnesses, but she doesn't get out of this. They each have a size small but I adjust the chest. The neck cannot be adjusted and it fits both girls just right. I had two purple ones & they lasted the last 4 years-I washed them a couple of times. I really enjoy this harness and only bought new & got each their own color so I didn't have to look for the name since each harness is adjusted at the chest for the dogs. I use these for walking and also for putting them in the doggie pouch that I carry them in at times to hook them in when I am in stores or on the four wheeler. In 4 years, I only lost one button with moderate to heavy use and the rest of the harness look new, nothing came apart or broke. Very happy with these harnesses and these new ones I bought look the same and have not been compromised on quality in anyway. Have already used the new ones many times.

Size charts not accurate! Buyer beware!
My dog's neck is 7". The chart says XS is 7.8" which should have fit my dog fine but it was way to small to get over her little head. She's a 3.8lb Chihuahua with a small apple head and neck. What I don't understand is why the puppia original mesh harness fit her so well and the charts say XS is 7.5". These harnesses do not follow the size charts which makes it impossible for the customer to get it right. I can understand 1/4 to 1/2" tolerances but an inch higher or smaller is too much when considering animals. We can tolerate discrepancies but animals can't that easily. I could say how cute this would have been & how well made it was but if the sizes aren't accurate & can't fit right then it's worthless. These harnesses have to fit well in order to work. The next size Small, will be too huge. I'm afraid to even order another original mesh one because the second one probably won't end up fitting like the first one she has, and I'll just be wasting my time. I already returned this one and I've returned other brands because of the same size issues. Customers are trying to be accurate with our measuring but the charts have to be accurate. I guess my girl will just have to wear her mesh one she has til it falls apart because I don't know what to try next without trial & error. If you notice on some of these sites, they will have a couple different charts that don't even match up with each other--makes it really difficult like Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe, pick a size, nobody knows!
