Claymore, Vol. 8
C**N
Full of action
This is mostly a comic of prolonged fights, which are probably easier to follow in an anime than a manga. The Claymore and Yoma tensions and powers are continuously amped up. The art is excellent, but the dialogue translations can be silted.

Another great Claymore graphic novel adventure. A must read for those into this unique series.
For those who are into The Claymore series there is no need to explain very much; however, for readers who have never read a Claymore graphic novel here is briefly what the series is all about. Claymores are warriors who are half human and half monster. They hunt down monsters called Yoma. These monsters walk around humans in disguise in order to hunt and kill them for their own amusement and food. The Claymore has supernatural strength and are dedicated to protecting humans, but since they are also only half human they are always fighting against the monster which is also inside them. Indeed, some Claymore have turned into the monsters they hate. This is #8 (The Witch's Maw) in the continuing series. After Clare (who is a Claymore) loses her right arm battling Ophelia, she is rescued by another Claymore, named Ilena who used to be #2 among these warriors. This story begins with Clare battling a mean and strong Yoma before finally defeating it. The story moves on with more action and conspiracy plots which fans of the Claymore series have come to expect in these novels. I never give away too much when reviewing novels because it would spoil it for other readers. If you are a fan of the Claymore series you should check out this graphic book. If this is the first Claymore book you are reading, you might want to read some of the previous books in this series in order to better understand the theme and sequence of events that follow in each volume.Rating: 4 Stars. this chapter is amazing
this chapter of the manga is action packed and so far it exceeds the previous fights , each time Clair finds her self in worse situations and stronger opponents to face and you always tell yourself how will she will overcome them .same goes for this part in the anime i love it tho reading it in manga form has a more stronger impression and feels more thrilling .

Great continuation, and looks like new
Claymore really ramps up here and grasps you. If youre at 7 and not sure if you want to keep going, get this one more and then decide. There were no scratches, no bends, it all looks good

Awakened hunt
With Ophelia now an Awakened Being, Clare must fight for her life but the battle doesn't go as she expects. Once this is dealt with Clare sets off in search of Raki only to run into a team of Claymores hunting a powerful Awakened Being and get drawn into the hunt herself. This eight volume of Claymore is great and the series is definitely only getting better and better. The battle against the Awakened Ophelia is good and is actually quite funny in places, although with a name like Ophelia you can probably guess how it ends. After this the hunt for the Awakened Being that Clare takes up is very interesting with some information on the most powerful of there number and their history, as well as some suggestions on an upcoming threat that could prove deadly.
