This is the best tape I’ve seen ever. One tape printed on both sides for right and left measurements with identifying 16th inch increments is perfect. As an afterthought, depending on your application there can be a lot of waste but it is likely that you only need this one item. Although it is not true peel and stick, there’s a reason for that and they provide the double stick tape separately.

Purchased to use for a workshop workbench. I liked that this has the fractions printed on the tape. I refurbished a couple of old 1970's heavy steel workbenches and decided to add a table top measuring tape. One table top is 60 inches and the other is 72. I bought this thinking I'd try it out for the 60 inch top, and buy another one later for the 72. The cool thing is, the tape is printed on both sides and has opposing starting points on each. This means that I can cut the tape from 0 - 60" and flip the remainder over and get another 0 - 72" (with left over) for the second table. No need to buy twice. The item comes with a separate roll of double sided tape which makes installation very easy. Position the sticky tape first and then apply the measuring tape. The measuing tape is durable metal and peals off the sticky tape easily enough to reposition. Once down where it needed to be it stuck quite well. A couple of coats of clear coat and you would think it was part of the table. As far as I am concerned, this is a great product.

I bought this for the express purpose to put it along the edge of my desk. I'm using the L-R format and it's great. It's dead nuts to the same marks as my Milwaukee tape measure, and the mm marks are perfect checked against various screw lengths I have at hand. Printing is crystal clear across the full length on both sides. In the imperial measurements, it has marks down to the 16th, marks for total inches as well as inches within the foot (e.g. 13" and 1F-1) Metric side is tens punctuated by hundreds (i.e. 500, 10, 20, ..., 90, 600, etc) - a little weird, but it works overall. I cut it down to the length I wanted no problem with a decent pair of household scissors - don't use the fabric or kitchen shears! I wanted rounded corners so I don't jab myself constantly, so I tried using a corner radius paper punch I have but it didn't have enough muscle. Instead, I filed off the corners, no problem at all with a steel file. The surface scratches fairly easily, so if that's a concern you might want to clear coat it or something. I have a feeling some of the numbers are going to wear off around where I rest my wrists. These things aren't a problem for me with my expected use, it'll just add to the character of my desk over time. Separate adhesive is neither a pro or con really, it went on easy, and it's silicone-based so it sticks great. It'll be nice that I have extra since I didn't use the entire length, so there's that I guess. There's definitely more than enough to do the whole tape measure.

Great tape. Used it for a reference tape on an assembly table for almost a year. The edges would catch on work pieces over the year and would bend the metal tape. Once its bent, its doesn't re bend well. Had to remove the tape of both sides of the table. The assembly table is high mileage. It see's alot of projects. Will probably buy again for another project but won't use this again on an assembly table. $15-18 per tape, I will just buy a measuring tape next time and keep it on the table :)

This is one of those rare products that truly deserves six stars. • Most tapes like this are 1/2”, but this one is 7/8”, which makes the metric and inch scales much easier to read. • Most tapes only run in a single direction, so you need to buy two. This one runs both directions, starting from each end. Cut it in the middle and you get both a left-to-right tape and a right-to-left tape. • Most tapes are peel-and-stick, but this one comes with separate adhesive, which makes installation much easier if done correctly. Apply the adhesive to the surface first, then remove the backing and attach the tape. Pro tip: With the adhesive backing still on, place the metal tape on top and slide it back and forth until it’s perfectly positioned. Use a few inches of packing tape to hold it in place so it doesn’t move. Then remove the adhesive backing and start pressing down the metal tape. When you reach the packing tape, peel it off, and finish securing the remaining section. Metal tape itself is 0.13mm thick. Metal tape with adhesive backing is 0.40mm.

This is a perfect replacement for the old tape on my Rigid TS3650. The steel tale is left to right and then right to left on the other side with the double sided tape separate. So what I did was I cut the left to right side at 0 and then positioned the fence 10” from fence to blade. With the tape positioned at 10”, I marked the 0 side of the tape on the rail. I then applied the double sided adhesive tape. With a little block magnet to hold the tape in place, I removed about 3” of the seal of the double sided adhesive tape and set the new tape on my mark, and then slowly pulled the seal off as I pressed the tape in place. Results-perfect!

The ruler is larger than the 1/2 oned. The numbers can be seen clearly and the sticker really sticks. Very good product. The metsl ruler can be cut with a good pair of scissors. Ruler has right to left and left to right readings at the extremities of the band and its long enough for what I need.

This tape feels like an actual aluminium measuring tape. The adhesive tape included is good quality and slightly thinner. I routed a very shallow channel the thickness of the tape and it all sat in perfectly. Have it flush to my work surface now and it has really enhanced my new setup. Highly recommended.

This is a great quality tape. It is easy to read with the fractions of an inch. I can read a tape measure however this leaves less margin for error.
