Marbles and Jokers Game for 8-Players by Wizard Woodworks

We have friends that have the 2009 version of this game made by the same Wizard Woodworks company. We really like the game and wanted a copy for ourselves in order to play this fun game with others.It is only natural for the construction of any product to change over the years. Though we really like the locking feature of the newer version, the overall contraction is quite inferior. Notice the attached photos. I am indifferent to the differences with the 2009 version having colored bottoms of all the holes where you set your marbles, compared to the current version's colored laminated top. Both versions are made from MFB or particle board. The difference that was the most disappointing to us was the finish and feel of the paddles. The 2009 version is completely varnished, top, bottom and sides. There is not any sealer/finish on the current version with the exception of the laminated top. I wrote the company expressing my quality opinion and received a prompt and courteous reply from the owners of the company. My 2 star rating is based on my comparison to their 2009 version. I wish that the quality was the same as the 2009 version with the addition of the interlocking feature: That would be a game winner!The company did state that they offer a lifetime warranty. However, I decided to return it, with hopes of finding a better version or perhaps having a nice woodworking project someday of building my own :) Two other very minor disappointments: the orange color is not very bright and the drilled holes for the marbles are much deeper than the 2009 version and do not have a rounded bottom. I am not opposed to spending $80 on a great board game, but in my opinion the construction of this version of the game should put the price point in the $40 range.

We played this game after my aunt brought it while on a family vacation. As soon as we got home, we ordered it! It does make you do a double take when you see the price and friends are surprised when they ask "how much?", but the wooden pieces are very well made. Must be very popular game as at one point it was unavailable. It reminds me a little bit of the boardgame Sorry, but using playing cards you really use strategy for your moves. You sure find out how ruthless your fellow players are! You can play individually or as teams, which is even more fun. It's a lot of fun and a great way to spend time with family and friends. Worth every penny!

This game is so much fun!! I love that you can customize the board to play with just two people or play with a large group of 8. I've played Marbles and Jokers before with friends and really wanted to purchase my own, but was hesitant because it was so expensive. After almost buying it several times and letting it sit saved in my cart for a while, I finally decided to make the purchase to play the game on my most recent trip home to see my family. Now, I'm kicking myself for not buying it sooner. The game was a huge hit and everyone had a ton of fun!

Expensive, but if you can swing it it is a very fun game and enjoyable for kids and adults. Little ones it would be too hard for but you could have fun just playing with them with the marbles and board! : ) The colors are beautiful and it will last a very long time!It is a lot like sorry with marbles and had everyone , laughing and talking and just having fun! Can play with 4 to eight. Love this game! : )We made cards with pictures of our family on them and it made the game even funner! : )

We played with another set with freinds on our way to Thanksgiving with our grandkids. We liked so much, I ordered this set the same day to arrive at our grandkids with my 2 day free prime shipping. We played it all 4 days. We played with 4, 6 & 8 players. Everyone truly enjoyed. All the players were 13 and above. Now I have to order another set for my wife and I to take south.

Great, great game. We have played 4 and 8 player team games and everyone enjoyed it. A game lasts about one hour in either case. Friends who played it wanted to buy one. Only issue we had was the "sturdy" storage box they described is a cardboard box. When I asked them about it a month or so ago they did not even bother to respond. Makes me worry about their customer service if you have a problem with your delivery..

This game is amazing. My friends and I have played it 5 nights in a row, and it's very addicting. We can't get enough of it. This game brings people together, challenges you to work with each other, and is overall a great concept of a game. I love how you can build the board based on how many are playing. Definitely recommend.

I love it! And my ladies' games group loves it too. It's bright and colorful, and fun to put together and play on. Being able to put together exactly the right number of sides needed to correspond with the number of players we have available is such a great option. Well done, Wizard Woodworks!
