The religious teachings, beliefs and way of life for the 12 major religions practiced by those adherents is thought provoking and challenging to the whole of western civilization. Each religion presents itself with it's own coded language , moral guidance , communal memories , ontological ideas and metaphysical constructs. Who is leading these religious paths? Do we have to conclude that there is a general truth to each religion? What does the West say in response to the multi-religious life styles of humanity? Are we really inherently good? How do we communicate the symbols of goodness , joy, kindness, compassion, gentleness, patience , love, faith, peacefulness and self control to our neighbours? Great book to understand the basics of all major religions. I bought this for myself as I have an interest in religion itself. I’m a Christian but love having an understanding of other religions and faith

Easy to read , clear and simple. Fascinating

I love it. I was raised Catholic and no longer practice, and just wanted something that taught me the overview of each religion. It’s well organized with time tables, has a very clean layout so that if you don’t want to read on every single god of every religion you can skip to the part you do wish to know like religious texts, beliefs, practices. It isn’t overwhelming because it’s so well organized to allow you to take in what you need to know, and if you want to dive deeper you can. My dog ate the back cover and some of the front so I’m not sure if he’s an atheist or a devout Christian who denies the study of other religions. 9/10.

My boyfriend really likes it. We talk about religion a lot and our curiosity about other religions and this books helps a lot. It's simple and clear and easy to understand.I like the lay out so you don't get confused.

Very nicely printed and published paperback book. Content is good too. Well written, perhaps not as fully detailed as one might hope but probably adequate for most people wanting an introduction to the topic.
