How to decide if this is right for you
One of the most important things I’ve learned from reading and writing reviews at Amazon is that everyone’s needs and tastes are different. Just because a product doesn’t fill your needs doesn’t make it a bad product, it may be perfect for someone else.WHYThis is one such product, how good it works really depends on what you want it to do. In my situation I have a gas barbecue grill on my large covered but open outdoor deck. The grill is located too far from the two porch lights for them to light it up enough for me to see when my steaks are ready but I didn’t want to run an electrical circuit to install a permanently mounted light over the barbecue area. Nearly every battery or solar light these days is motion activated and that is not at all what I wanted, I didn’t want a light to come on every time someone walked across the porch, only when I needed to turn it on for a few minutes to check what I’m cooking. Because it only needed to be on for a short time battery life wasn’t a concern, one set of batteries could easily last me a full season. And brightness also wasn’t a big deal, I didn’t want to read by it, just see if my meat is cooked.WHATOf all of the choices available this is the only one that I found that did exactly what I wanted. There are a couple of other ones that use remote controls but they are the tiny credit card size remotes that have a lot of dimmers and color changer buttons and easily get misplaced. The Fulcrum light uses a simple on off switch that mounts on the wall (or any other surface, like the side of my barbecue grill) that anyone can figure out how to use. On the side of the switch is a three position slider to adjust the time the light is on to 30, 60 or 120 minutes. I like that, two house is plenty long and I can always switch it back on if I want, but I like that it won’t run the batteries down if I forget to shut it off.HOWThe light mounts to a flat surface using either double sided tape or an included mounting kit and the fixture attaches securely to it using secure twist tabs. One user was very concerned that she wasn’t able to twist the two pieces apart because she didn’t have anything to grab on to. That missed the point, you are supposed to mount the base to something. Then rotating the fixture to occasionally replace the batteries is a piece of cake. I can’t imagine why you would want to unfasten the two pieces otherwise. By the way they advise against double sided tape but I disagree – it depends a lot on what you are mounting it to and how good your sticky tape is. You might also want to consider the industrial strength hook and loop tape as a mounting alternative. The light output is adequate for inside a closet or cupboard or maybe over a desk. It is exactly right for my use on the patio. The color temperature of the light is fixed, you can dim it but you can’t change colors or change how cool or warm the light color is. That is perfect for my use where I wanted and needed a strong pure bright white light.OTHER STUFFWhile I’m using this outdoors in a covered protected area. While it’s really designed to be used indoors because it is not water tight it does have a clear crystal over the bulbs and I would say it is suitable for outdoors when used in a covered, protected area like a porch. You might also want to know that you can buy this light either with or without a wireless wall switch and you can buy additional switches as well. You can operate up to 20 lights from one switch or set up multiple groups of lights, each being operated by its own switch. The wireless transmission is using radio frequency not infrared which means it works through walls, for example I can have a switch near my barbecue on the porch as another switch in my kitchen if I want.

Just what I was looking for
I am absolutely thrilled with these lights. I was looking for lights that I could turn on with a remote. As you can see, me vases are extremely high about 11’ off the ground so I would not be able to light them with a remote that required you to be in front of the light. I tried other options but once I put the light in the vase I could not get the remote to work. I just put these up so I can not share an opinion about battery life. They seemed fairly bright before I put them inside the vases, but that wasn’t as important to me as getting them to work inside the vases. If you are looking for lights that work with a remote where you can turn them on from a distance… I highly recommend these. Thanks to the genius who figured this out!

Not very bright
I bought this to put on the ceiling in my kitchen to shine down on a countertop for more light when I'm cooking. Not much help at all. Sure doesn't look like 150 lumens to me. I wouldn't buy it again.

Not bright enough, eat through 3 C batteries in about 3-4 days.
The media could not be loaded. This product was early to install and connect to the switch we already had lying around from another product by the fans company.Even at it's brightest, the light isn't very bright and illuminates only a small narrow area. Also, were installed the light 3 days ago and the batteries are already"dead" - and that's with the wall switch set to 30 minutes (we only use the light for about 10 minutes per use above our mirror).I world assume that 3 C sized batteries would last a month, but 3 days is stupid. Our closest lights by the same vendor with 4 pivoting LED lights lasts months power day of batteries (6 AA).It's you look at the video, your can see how terrible the lighting is (or ISN'T) after a few days off use. This item is being returned ASAP (subbing Amazon will accept them back without packaging) 🤔It's either that or recycle/throw them away - total waste of my money.

A really bright idea! *chuckle*
Pun intended lol. This little light is really neat. No complaints so far. We set this up in our bathroom for when we need to use it during the night. Our bathroom lights are bright and can really overwhelm the eyes if your trying to see what you're doing in the middle of the night. And trying to do everything in the dark can be dangerous (and messy lol). So I attached the remote to the wall right above the normal switch, and stuck the light on the wall overhead where our backs would be facing it. On the lowest setting it creates the perfect amount of light to allow you to see well enough to get the job done! No more stumbling in the dark or frying our eyeballs in the night! On the highest setting, it really illuminates everything nicely without being too much for the eyes either. The really neat part is the simple programming to allow multiple lights to be programmed to individual remotes! If i wanted to, I could buy a few more sconces and add them to illuminate our long hallway like an airplane landing strip lol.You could have a series of other lights setup in a different room, tied to a different switch and not have them interfere with one another. The method to do this is very simple. Small switches on the back of each light and remote. You can adjust the switches to accommodate various setups all over your house! You can get pretty creative with these. The adhesive tape on the backs of the lights and remotes are very nice 3M tape. None of that cheap junk that constantly falls off the walls. All and all, they're great! Low price, but surprisingly high quality for how much they cost. Not sure on the battery life yet because we've only had them installed for a few weeks, but so far so good!I've included some pictures of the remote and the light both on low and high settings. Honestly, the pictures don't quite do them justice, but I figured I'd try to provide some examples.

I love this light
I love this light! The dimming function is a great feature. I would buy more if I had a place for them!

Excellent product for Blackouts
I purchased these to set-up in my staircase that leads to the basement as well as the basement itself to get downstairs safely during power outages. I live in a rural area and we tend to have fairly frequent power outages and these have been great. They provide ample light and are safer than leaving lit candles in the basement

Eats Batteries
Not sure why people aren't coming back to review these for how quickly they eat the 3 AA's you need to power it. I'd say I can turn this one on and off maybe.... 20 times? before they're all burnt out. Even with using the switch on a 30 minute auto shutoff and on the lowest dimmer setting this guy burns through batteries so fast its really not worth the convenience of not snaking cable. The light itself when it has a charge works well enough which is why it has 2 stars instead of 1. Otherwise, not sure this is worth it as you have to change the batteries every few weeks / months depending on where you'll be using this.

The lights are bright enough but a fairly narrow focus
I liked that you can have a half dozen or so all linked to the same remote/switch. One alone would be fine in a closet or very small room but the beams from the light are fairly narrow so don't expect it to light up a whole bedroom or rec room
