Blue Ox BX7380 Alpha II Tow Bar - "2" Receiver, Class III 6500lb. Rating, Black

Perfect exactly as described.

This is used on a 22 Bronco. The tow bar itself is sturdy (6500 #) albeit a little on the heavy side for an older person to lift for set up or store. It sets up easy and removes even easier. The baseplates for this (standard Bumper) fit ok as instructed to install but the safety hook tabs protruded too far for my taste. Easy fix was to cut them off about 2" and then re-drill for the safety cables, and it yields a much better appearance when bar is not being used.

I had it installed by an RV and Jeep specialist. All went smoothly, from the base plate to the tow bar to the electrical hook-up. I’m confident, having made close to a dozen trips in the past three months. My Jeep follows the RV solidly and the hook-up and un-hitch has proven to be easy to manage; and I am a senior citizen. I made a study of a number of tow products and I’m very happy that I chose the Blue Ox! It’s worth the cost, honestly.

Blue Ox products are superior...and I believe them to be the best in the RV flat towing industry. I can find no fault with this product, and in fact would recommend that anyone who needs a flat towing bar buy Blue Ox equipment. I do though, have a big problem with sellers who use bait and switch tactics on their pricing. I looked at this product one evening..which we all know is tracked by IP addresses....and went back to buy the next morning only to discover that the price had increased by almost $100. Not good at all. Oh well...lesson learned.

Really nice tow bar, we were not able to lock it in place when not traveling, couldn’t figure out with it would lock finally called local service person. Turned out the new tow bar had the lock nut cross threaded. Cost $65.00 for the repair. Time to improve QA. Not sure if it’s common but shouldn’t have happened.

I installed this and the Blue Ox 1134 baseplate on our 2016 Jeep JKU. We chose the 1134 because we have a 2.5in lift on the Jeep and Barricade front bumper. Setup was easy and we used it on a recent trip. Very secure. Love that it folds up for storage, while still being connected to the motorhome.
