We are fortunate in that my dachshund had a back injury that wasn't IVDD but was a twisting injury of her spine. I asked my vet about the L'il Back Bracer (LBB), and he said I should go for it, so I did. At first, to be honest, it was hell getting the LBB on my dachshund, who had suddenly turned into a rare 16-legged octopus when I first tried to put it on her. She helpfully does that with everything. But she finally realized I intended to persist, so she let me put it on her once, and all of a sudden that little missy changed her mind! It stabilized her back without casting so her twisting injury could heal. She wore it in the daytime for about two months, and one morning I noticed that her spine was straight, her walking was normal, and she wasn't in any pain whatsoever (she's prone to let me know that, thank goodness). I hope and pray we never have to use this again, but I'm definitely glad to have it on hand and paw, and I'm so, so thankful that this simple solution gave my Andi the help and healing she needed.I would recommend this for anyone with a dog with back problems, anything from a simple twisting injury to IVDD. It works for most dog breeds, as far as I can tell. If my doxie had IVDD and surgery had been recommended, I would definitely try this for a few weeks before doing that unless my dog was in pain.

My Dog had a slipped disc and I got him this back brace during his recovery and if he gets a flare up again. He hates wearing anything, but that's kind of the point. It's a really sturdy back-brace that fits him perfectly. He is able to move around and sleep and roll around if he really tries and it keeps his middle back nice and steady. Love this product because it helps keep my dogs back stable. She was just diagnosed with IVDD and the pain meds made her very jumpy and it was hard to keep her still. This product allows her to move around comfortably without further injuring herself. I’m rating it 4 stars because she has about a 12inch back so I got the small and it’s a little long. Tried to tighten front straps to keep it up closer to her collar but the way the chest strap is place it causes her to cough. It’s a very awkward fit for my multipoo but it does work.

we noticed my dog suddenly act a little timid when moving (which is completely abnormal for her). so I purchased this right away and it arrived the next day. it's easy to put in, limits them from big movement (walking is no problem) and the dogs can potty easily with it. this is the same brand my daughter's vet recommended for her little rescue for ivdd. it's also adjustable enough that I think if I ever needed to, I could use for my other dogs. and it's made in the US.

I have a 4 yr old dachshund who had been paralyzed twice within 6 months.. we loved this brand is Sturdy snd is made in the USA. It helps keep her back straight and helps with IVDD , but the Velcro does not work after a few months. This is why I took 2 stars off. When the Velcro came loose we were walking on a sidewalk, on one of the busiest highway in the city but it’s how we walk to the beach. But oh my gosh! I looked back and she had slipped out of the harness because the Velcro would not hold. Thank God I taught her young to “come”when I called. l was freaking out because if she had not obeyed me, she would have been killed instantly. But if she had not been killed she could have become paralyzed again from IVDD. We bought this brave for her 1st paralysis. But after the 2nd bout were told by our vet that she can not walk on her own ever without a brace. This was her 2nd incident that we started using it more. We were told that the more the IVDD flares the worse it can get. This is a great brace except for that. The company needs to work on improving the Velcro. If the brace is used daily it does not hold up and comes loose easily putting our fur Baby at risk. I started putting a different softer brace over it while walk so, so I would not risk her someone out of this brace and getting killed by a car or injuring her back.I would appreciate some feed back fromThe company regarding how they can correct this for me. The product seemed to be working, but after only four months ,it has stretched out, and the velcro no longer holds either. So because of this It now does not work and comes right off my little doxie with a bad back.The return window has now closed. I would have thought that after spending 120.00 on a brace, it would have lasted longer then four months ! I called the company and they said sorry. So thar means if you buy one, you can expect to spend 120.00 four times a year because that is the life of a little dog bracer ! That is 480.00 for one year !

My Chiweenie was diagnosed with IVDD. I just finished with a two week Mandatory crate for her.I looked on Amazon to see if I could find a support brace, since we are so afraid of her getting another mishap with a bulging disc. This manufacture came up with great reviews. We put the brace on her yesterday. Fits great, she seems to like it and I feel more at ease to have her running around init. Its 115° in Las Vegas so I was happy to see that it is light weight and soft & comfortable for her to wear all day. I worry about how the straps fasten around her back legs , but it doesn’t seem to bother her.( I guess it’s part of the design.) Great product, well-made and well worth it! Happy to know that there’s some thing out there to help her continue to get around and live her life. ♥️

Very well made and high quality. It runs a bit small but works well and helped our little guy avoid back injury after a tumble down the stairs. Just be aware to set it up slowly so that you get the fit right to avoid pinching nerves or rubbing the skin. Take it off at night and hand wash with air dry. I’d also advise consulting a veterinarian before and during use.
