Unlike the other review, I had no problems using it for my 27.5 mountain bike or the rest of the fams'. You might have problems if you have a fat tire bike. I would recommend using toggle bolts or some kind of heavier duty anchors if you're going to be mounting it to drywall without using studs. The included anchors are pretty flimsy. The rest of the rack; however, is sturdy enough for the job. It would be nice if the retention pins were ball lock or wire lock, they're simple metal rods.

I chose to purchase a 8x4x1 board. Cut it in half and used it as a support between the wall and the rack. The rack isn't long enough to be anchored into studs. So! I bought the board. Used 2.5" screws and then screwed the rack into the board.ALSO! We ride 29rs in this house. The 5 bike posts only hold 2 bikes and the helmet post only holds one helmet.

This is a fantastic product and worth the effort for hanging up kids bikes and scooters. I bought this and liked it so much I bought a second to split apart to share with a family member. Each set comes with 2 bars and I followed instructions from other opinions posted and used a board mounted to the studs prior to attaching this set to guarantee this would not fall out from the drywall garage wall. The rack itself is heavy duty metal, easy to mount, and durable with a organized appearance. Plus it makes the garage appear more organized and less cluttered.

This rack has saved me so much space in my garage! I was able to hang my wife’s bike, my bike, and a couple of kids bikes to get them off the floor of the garage. I don’t know why I didn’t purchase this sooner! This was an easy weekend project to install. I liked the color of the rack, and I love that it is sturdy. My mountain bike and my wife’s beach cruiser are pretty heavy, and this rack is holding them just fine.

Our backyard was getting pretty full of wheels and looking cluttered. I ordered this bike holder to get them off the ground and organized. It is very strong and durable and really easy to install. I chose to connect it directly to the wall of my house and it looks really nice. The hooks are metal just like all of the contraption and hold the bikes up. I was able to install it by myself - which impressed my husband. There is even a spot to hang my daughter's helmet too.

Once you get it secured, it's a pretty decent rack. However, the serious design flaw is that the screw holes aren't at stud width. Drywall anchors will not hold 3 adult bikes. I had to cut a 2x4 and use 3" screws to mount that to the wall and then mount this rack to the 2x4. For the price, the quality is good, but it's worthless if you aren't able to bridge the stud gap somehow.

For mountain bike tires the hooks are to small (they work ok for smaller tired bikes). The hook that looks like it was design for skis did not hold my skis (the skis slipped through, seems like the hooks weren't durable enough or to wide). The pins that hold the hooks in place are lose (when you put your bike on and off the rack you bump the rack and can knock the small pins out of place). The installation requires four screws per side (this means you need a shear wall or very tight to grab your stud).

Straight forward and easy. Comes with all the hardware. The locking pins just go through the hole, don’t really “lock”. But don’t have a problem with them. I have 3 full size bikes on one rack as I split them up because I have 16” studs. The other I have a adult trike and a 22” teens bike. They are sturdy and they look good. I also have them mounted about 8’ 1/2” up or so. I’m tall.
