Very Satisfied. For Indian Customer please buy a step down transformer of 1500 Watt along with the product. If you want strong coffee add two spoons (comes with the Machine) beans for a normal cup.

makes great coffee
Very happy with this machine. This is our second Cuisinart Grind-and-Brew. The first one lasted for several years of daily use before the grinder container cracked. This one works just as well, and makes great coffee. It's so convenient to have the bean grinder as part of the coffeemaker. You DO need to wash the parts after each use (including the grinder parts), if you expect it to keep working properly.

Very nice.
I purchased this coffee maker because it seemed similar to the one the housemate uses. It in fact turns out to be a better fit for me than expected. This purchase was part of a greater plan for a complete system you see. I have been counting on my cell phone alarm to wake me up in the morning and have almost put the damn thing through a wall numerous times. How dare some silly robot command me from my sleep and offer me nothing for my troubles?Needless to say mornings are not a lot of fun for me and I have been allowing myself to get going later and later these days. So, in an effort to stop the current system of waking up 16 times before finally giving in to what little reason I can muster to actually get out of bed I decided to make a critical change. This is where this coffee maker comes in. I live in a basement and I am fine with this. The sun can kiss my a&& until I am ready for it anyway, but the need for caffeine can not be underestimated. Upstairs people make coffee I can't differentiate from water and it's an awfully long way to walk. This coffee maker is literally bedside now, hardly an arms full bend away. And it is proving to be a perfect tool for this application. Similar models have a giant "tank" on top you just dump a bag of beans into until you feel like you have enough. This is problematic for me because I like to change my coffees on a regular basis. This maker has a nice grinder housing that you measure your dosage into and it's clean with a quick rinse and ready for something new. Another bonus here is the grind basket, this is similar to the other models I will continue to complain about except it is very simple. Other models have some components to the grind basket that need to be turned into the right position to operate and are generally harder to clean. This is a single non mechanical piece of easily removed and rinsed plastic. Another win.Other than that everything else seems about comparable to other makers of this nature, and I would estimate a bit cheaper at that. Now this part may not matter to other purchasers but it is important to me. Seeing as how I live in the basement and I have a tendency to want to throw my phone when the alarm goes off I have discovered other benefits to having this machine so close to my bed. It's loud when it grinds, and it has the program feature that lets you set a time to begin brewing. Welcome my new alarm clock. It smells better when it starts to go off, and even better I am rewarded for waking up when I get to drink enough coffee to have a mild heart attack before standing up. This is quite outstanding. It comes with a little metal reusable basket as well and the grinds can go in the toilet and will help keep the bathroom smelling fresh.Other notes (for those wise enough to skip the above rantings):Comes with a charcoal filter. Nice but I will likely be using bottled water given the placement of my unit.Simple to use and clean. The cleaning part is a big deal to me.Replaces other appliances like alarm clocks and bathroom fresheners. Probably not a common value but none the less should be noted.Good grind, not too fine and not to chunky.Smells better than an alarm clock.Decent price. The unit I am comparing this too cost a fair amount more a few years ago and is a pain in comparison.Use whole bean or pre-ground coffee.Comes with all you need. I stole no utensils from anyone to start using this.Looks nice.

Very pleasantly surprised!
When my three year old DGB-500 broke down, it wasn't all of a sudden. The coffee brewing process got longer and longer, and the "I'm done" beeper sounded too early. Eventually it was taking twenty minutes to make a single pot of coffee and I said "That's it. Time for a new one." (I actually said it. I talk to myself a lot.) After looking at every brewer out there and thoroughly reading the reviews I plunked down my $80 and ordered the DGB-625BC. When it arrived I dicovered that it uses the exact same carafe and grinder mechanism as the DGB-500, so I put the new parts aside and used the older ones. Now I have spares! There was a starter water filter and scoop/tiny little brush as well.Obviously this means that the grinding process (and the cleanup, more later) are identical and make the same noises, which are kinda loud. When the DGB-500 was new, the first few times I used it the cats would totally freak out. After that, they just ignored it. The old coffeemaker would spew little bitty grounds in a three foot radius when grinding. This one does not. It's easier to pour water into the reservoir and there's a handy dandy water level meter on the side. Now for the pleasant surprise I promised. When I brewed the first pot of coffee, it was amazing! The old coffeemaker had evidently been brewing at lower and lower temperatures as time went by, and because it was so gradual I never realized it. This brewer does its thing at the right temperature and unlocks all the caffeiney goodness in those beans, producing a magnificent pot of coffee in about a minute per cup. I usually make a six-cup pot using 4 level tablespoons of beans (Don't use the scoop that comes with the coffeemaker It's only 3/4 Tbsp and that way lies madness). This produces a mellow, mild, full flavored coffee. If you like your coffee strong use one level tablespoon per six ounce "cup".That's my only gripe about this coffeemaker, and it applies to all the models with "12 cup" carafes. Each cup is measured at only six ounces, so 12 x 6 = 72 ounces. In the real world a cup is EIGHT ounces so 72 / 8 = 8 true cups of coffee. Talk about inflation.I've read so many complaints about having to clean the grinder, cap and the basket cover after each use. All I have to say to that is "With great coffee comes great responsibility". It only takes about three minutes to rinse and dry those parts and you're ready to brew anew. Want gucky coffee? Use an old coffeemaker without a grinder.Would I recomend the DGB-625BC to a friend? No. I would *force* them to buy one and they would thank me for it. It's that good. If you've used an older Cuisinart, buy this model. If you've never experienced grind and brew awesomeness, buy this model.
