Our outdoor woodstove needs drained and rust inhibitors added as maintenance and the name brand rust inhibitors has gotten so pricey, want to keep up on maintenance to keep it running smoothly so looked for another option. This is the first year of using so can’t speak for longevity of it m, guess only time will tell but so far so good.

I have a 9 year old outdoor wood boiler. I've been using this product for a few years with the convenience of ordering from Amazon. I drain and flush the system every couple years and begin by adding about 1/2 gallon of treatment to the system. Every year, I add another 1/2 gallon or so to the system when I top off the water level. I seem to get much less rust and corrosion coloring when I drain and flush the system.

I like that we paid less than half what our dealer sales it for. If you have an outdoor wood stove this is a must have. You test your water every year, by sending a sample to the company and the company that produces your stove lets you know when you must add more chemical. This keeps your 12,000-dollar stove from rusting from the water it needs to operate. So glad we found this on Amazon. Will definitely buy more when we need it. High quality chemical and yes it turned pink. Great value and I highly recommend.

It may keep rust away but seems to lose it's strength quickly according to the quick loss of color after adding it to my wood boiler
