Clear Tar Gel, 8 fl. oz. Jar, Professional Acrylic Gel Medium, Transparent

Bought for the first time. The glaze is great with terrific glass like shine. Use thick soft brush to apply. I used 3 layers of it on my mixed media art that was done on wood cradle. Each layer must dry thoroughly over night before you apply next layer. Don't brush back and forth, up and down or you will get bubbles. Patiently apply long strokes so Gel will level smoothly. Use on hard surface like wood Panel, or canvas board.

The shine is perfect. It works exactly as described. It's a little expensive. But worth the extra money for certain projects that you really want to turn out well.

This product adds some strech to your paintings. Helping cells produce.

Golden Tar Gel works as advertised. Dries clear.

I use this in my abstract paintings all of the time. It makes beautiful lines and ridges to and dimension to the piece. Wonderful. It does take 24 hours to dry, however, so you much plant your painting knowing that. If I am using tar gel I usually prepare the canvas, apply tar gel, and the next day begin my piece. Definitely would buy again

Use it in acrylic painting for texture

My thin paints are light and textured and very workable! I have spent hundreds of dollars on additives and came up with globs that then needed a thinner! Tar gel is the answer to my prayers! I dot paint on a variety of surfaces and they look like skittles now!!! Love Love Love

I have not used this yet, but it was recommended for collaging. Unfortunately it was not completely sealed and the cap was not on tightly, so that when it arrived, the outside of the jar and the inside of the mailer were sticky, for that reason I gave it only 4 stars.

So far I haven't used this product too much. It is very weird but I think further exploration might produce something interesting. It is, as they say, very stringy and does what it says on the pot.

Warning! This is TINY!! My fault for misreading the size, but from the price I'd assumed it was a larger pot. It's a great product, but for the size not worth the money at all! I feel ripped off.
