I am totally impressed by how BRIGHT this light is, big improvement over the regular bulb. Easy to change. Cannot comment on longevity yet.Update 4/13/21The bulb went very dim one evening while out walking the dog. I didn't drop the light or hit it against anything. Not sure if it is because I don't always push the light button in all the way - I kind of just push the button down enough to get the light to light.I then tried the other bulb, as they come in a pair, and that worked. After making sure the second bulb worked, I put the first one back in. It was still dull. I decide to just barely touch the LED itself and it began working again. Odd. Guess I'll wait and see if it happens again.Pictures 1) LED bulb that had dimmed. 2) Good LED bulb on same surface as #1. 3) LED bulb shining on a tree. 4) Stock flashlight bulb which was replaced with LED bulb.

I tried this first on a 3-cell Maglight with very weak batteries; the light output was still white and bright. The beam focusing was as good as a standard bulb, so no worries there. Given the 3 watt power consumption, the battery life in a 3-cell flashlight will be better, but it will really show up in a 6-cell light. I didn't rate longevity for the simple fact that that takes time to determine. The downside (if you want to call it that) is that the 200 lumen output (almost 3X more than the 6-cell using standard bulb, a lowly 30 lumens for the 3-cell) is the same with a 3-cell light. Beats the output of standard and Xenon bulbs with much less power. So more light, longer battery life, I'll call this a win.

These bulbs fit perfectly and work super in both the 3 and 4 battery mag lights. Could not be happier!

Easy to install and very bright. Upgraded the 25 year old Maglight to the 21st century.

I liked the idea of modernizing my 2 old Maglite flashlights and making them more energy efficient and brighter. In my original order of 2 bulbs, one bulb did not work. I returned them as defective and received a replacement set of bulbs quickly. The second set of bulbs both worked. They're bright, but not as bright as I thought they'd be (rated at 800 lumen) however I am satisfied with my purchase considering the cost of these LED bulbs.

These LEDs made the flashlight brighter, but the light is slightly yellow and you lose some of the focusing ability the Maglite comes with. If you don't focus the light just right there is a black spot in the beam. Brighter yes, better? Not so much. It seems the focus problem is due to where the LED chip is compared to where the filament of a traditional bulb would be. No idea how long it will last, easy to install.

i found an older maglite in a parking lot.i was thinking hey i can fix this…these replacements and a couple D batteries later, i have a sweet ‘truck torch’.

Advertised as working for a 2 cell Maglite. Of the 2 items, one flashes constantly and the other works only randomly.

No working. It is disappointing.

Not a dramatic change, the color has changed from dull yellow to yellowish white light but no increase in brightness for a Mag Lite 4D cell, kinda disappointed. Easy to install tho!
