Did not rent but purchased for $4.99 which is a great deal. Now as per the movie, I can say I saw it. I’m a big fan of Prince and loved him in PURPLE RAIN. This was a continuation of PURPLE RAIN. THE KID, Prince, is still having issues with his music not meeting the mark and somehow Morris Day is excelling.I saw an interview with Apollonia and she stated Prince wanted her to be in this movie but she told him, “No.” She did not care for the movie. I feel the same. I love PRINCE but I don’t love this movie or the bad acting.

What's not to love, it's Prince!!

Have all the important works from Prince. This movie was cool during the time period. Being a collector of his works I was happy have it fit right in... The music was meaningful.

Cute movie about two men and their adventures in France.

Expected more since it was right after Purple Rain

The plot was not cohesive but you can’t win them all..

Not as bad as I feared considering this movie was a big commercial failure. It's the follow up to 'Purple Rain', with Prince once again as 'The Kid'.If you can picture a 1990 MTV video clip extended as a full length movie, that's what to expect, here.Pleasant to watch once you adjust your expectations. It is kitsch but kinda classy as the same time.This a musical movie I'd recommend to all music lovers.

I miss the Prince the great singer and I saw this movie before so now since i purchased my own copy I can enjoy it any time... his love story is great... I am so sorry that you got sick and nobody could help you... sleep in peace my little gentle man.... you gave so much to others and music was your love....

Not the best of Prince's work - but a good item to collect to go along with Purple Rain (movie) if you're a dvd collector like me. I watched it once, don't remember much about it - except that it was quite cheesy. I loved Prince (sad he's gone) but am glad that I can watch him in his prime.

I now you have never seen any one how really likes prince I use to witch this lots I just have the vhs video Iam glade I got on dvd I still really like its any execellent movie if any one that likes prince more then me
