Easy to use.

Litter Genie is really a great little system, it's easy to use and easy to open, eary to tear the bag for tie-off and emptying and pulling down a new section of bag for use. It is not perfect for me because my cat has a kidney problem that keeps him from contrating urine, so he produces "boulders" of litter that are really too big and I have to chop them in half to fit them in the Genie at times, and each bag section I pull down fills up in about 2 days for me. That being said, it still keeps me from having to go to the trash chute every day, so it's still helpful. I think if you had a regular cat with smaller amounts of output each section of bag would probably last you a week.

Very happy with this product!! I did not count how many 'bags' I got out of the cartridge, but it was at least 10-12 weeks worth of litter and small dog poop bags......initially I only used for the cat litter, but realized could be used for poop bag (again, it's a very small dog, so small droppings). The smell is contained, I tend to clean out litter box more often (daily now), and the convenience of only having to do the major cleanout every other week is well worth the price. Yes you can get the refills a little cheaper in stores, but then I'd probably be picking up a bunch of other items I could live without. No problems with knotting the ends, no problem with strength of bags either. Personally, I do rebag into used plastic bags just to be on safe side, as I have a long walk to garbage area.

They are an insult to my intellegence to charge me this price for foreign made bags inverted into a "SPECIFIC SIZE" plastic dispenser that nestles its little expensive a$$ up in the top of a plastic holding compartment! FOR THE SAKE OF ALL PRACTICAL IN THIS WORLD an expensive in its own right NAME BRAND ooops OR maybe NOT NAME BRAND 8gl.(scented) trash bag "RETROFITTED" (yeah right) ..rather TUCKED up inside the EMPTY EXPENSIVE PLASTIC DISPENSEE doo-ma-jiggy works FANTASTIC for me and I'm an OCD mentally retired Veteran of 48 yrs old! Hope that informs in a POSITIVE WAY EITHER OR in your decision of these.

I have a Genie Litter Cleaning System so I use these refills quite a bit. With two cats I go through at least one bag a week which can get expensive. The bags really do trap the odor if the system is used properly. I only balk at the cost because I go through bags quite a lot. The refill units are simple to install once one gets the hang of it. I never had a bag break. Once filled, the bag is tied off and simply placed in the trash without worrying if it will break or smell. It's a good quality product. I always buy the three pack although one could order a much larger, bulk quantity.at less cost per unit.

I have one cat and liked the convenience of being able to hide the litter. One bag lasts for two weeks. This is the second time that the sheet of plastic has run low. Now my last bag will not be able to close. This is the second time this has happened to me in two years. I did get a very generous discount card but I"m certain it's still in my wallet because I usually buy this at Amazon. I realize that LItter Genie must be a very frugal company and that saving a few inches of plastic does impact their bottom line. This has made me realize that losing a few inches of plastic also impacts my bottom line. I"m going to use my plastic grocery bags (also being very frugal) and throw out my garbage more often. I can't be the only one this is happening to. I also realize that during the two weeks of filling the bag he must sometimes pee or poop more often. I have never filled it so full as not to be able to close the container. So I'm not going to purchase the refills any longer.

I love my liter Genie. It's more expensive than using regular trash, but much nicer and tidier. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is that I have experienced some defects with the refills. I have had problems with 2 so far not opening where they are supposed to, and I have had to pull out the entire bag only to find out that there is no opening and have had to scrap them since you cannot push the bag into the small square opening and still be able to pull it out nicely!!!

I have used this product for a number of years and am convinced this method of cat waste material is the cleanest and easiest to use overall. Easy to install and lasts quite a while before needing to be changed, depending on how many cats you have.
