Glass Master Pro Combo

There is a way to gauge a human being's frustration tolerance: try to clean the inside of your windshield glass, so it is streak-free. Spending too much time at it makes you realize there must be an easier--quicker--way, without having to contact MIT engineers. You've probably seen other contraptions made for the purpose, but they seem to be too flimsy or not mated well to the human upper body and the task at hand. Amazon is a great place to do side-by-side research. The Glass Master Pro Combo glass cleaner won me over just by looking at it and the other iterations. It's sturdier, has a good handle, the pad has play in it and the cleaning pads are BIG and cover a larger area (you're done quicker). The pointed end made lots of sense after I thought about why it was shaped like that--gets to those hard to reach places at the bottom of the windshield.When I got the Glass Master Pro, it was even better than the picture; good length, handle pad is an asset for maintaining grip, the pads are well made and each are versatile for other jobs. With my dirty windshield the pads got dirty quickly. I tried to just press a square of paper towel on the pad to get the crud off the glass; it worked and didn't; I was worried about pressing too hard and breaking something. I had to stop and think a moment and thought maybe some old socks could be used. The best were old tube socks which I turned inside out because they are terry-cloth and worked perfectly in a pinch. The Eureka moment was that the sock went over the pointed end of the Glass Master Pro like it goes on your foot! Problem solved. I have LOTS of old socks because the thrifty, frugal New Englander never throws things out until all the utilitarianism is completely worn out, so I'll probably use the socks a few times, because you can rotate the sock on the Glass Master a few times before the sock is completely dirty, and either wash them or throw them out. Ankle-length socks, using either side for different tasks, seemed to work best and fit perfectly over the pad; the elasticity in the socks fits the pad like a glove, or err, a sock. Glad I bought the Glass Master Pro; it's eliminated my frustration and kept my windshield clean and streak-free. Well worth the money and a quality item. The picture of this product is very deceiving and should be changed. I've own multiple similar, plastic, products in the past and all have broken over time. The whole point of purchasing this product was that the picture made it appear high quality and metal; this is not the case! The handle looks nothing like the picture and is cheap plastic. I expect it will last about the same amount of time as the cheaper products (it will probably break at the movable neck). The bottom of the foam was also damaged, although I doubt it would cause any scratching or damage during use.

I purchased mine from Palm Beach Motoring Accessories . It works OK but you can buy the same thing without the extra microfiber wipes (Stoner 95161 Invisible Glass Reach and Clean Tool) here on Amazon or at local Auto Stores for about $14.00 . They are the same I know since I have one of the Stoners' in my wife's car. So it's a matter of if you want to have the extra heads ( if needed you can get extras for the Stoner too.

Like others, I thought I was buying a mostly-metal product, by virtue of the color of the handle. However, this product is almost identical to the one I bought at the local Walmart, except it comes with a few more bonnets. The bonnets seem to be of slightly higher quality than the Walmart version (easier to stretch and fit over the head), but it works the same way the Walmart version did. All in all, it does do a great job for someone whose shoulders aren't what they were 40 years ago. Just make sure you wash the bonnets without using fabric softeners, as you will be washing and washing and smearing ....

Great for cleaning the very sloped windshields and back windows of modern sedans, especially where the auto manufactuer leaves a very small (1/4") gap where the the bottom of the rear deck and the bottom of the glass meet (2013/14 Honda Accord 4-door). Also cleans the glass behind the CHMSL easily - another small gap that nothing else fits into. Neighbor had one and I had to get one too. It sure beats a sock on a plastic ruler, which is what I was using.Item was shipped quickly and very securely.

Works well if not too much force applied. It is made of plastic but fairly durable. I really like having second set of pads. I use the first set to do first run through car windows and then use 2nd set to finish up so streaks are kept to minimum. Pointed shape is helpful getting into corners of my very sloped Civic windshield. Happy with the purchase,

Bought these for myself and as a gift-for me they work well especially for hard to reach places-I have used both glass cleaner and just plain water and for me, plain water works well if windows are not too dirty-my only compliant is the the elastic that holds the pads in place will weaken in time but luckily replacements are available-

I have a very deep windshield which this cleaner doesn't reach completely but am mostly satisfied with it, given what I've been trying to do with hands-only.
