Very cute costume! Overall I was very happy with this purchase. We had an underwater theme for our section of decorating at a church for a dress up night so I was looking for something to match the theme and this lobster costume was perfect.I debated what size to get as some reviews had mentioned the costume ran small while others said it ran large. My son fits into 12-18 month clothing perfectly. I decided to order the 12-18 month and it fit him well. The only thing that might bother some people is if you are holding your little one the pant legs ride up. This didn't bother me. I would rather have them ride up then have to worry about him tripping over the costume all night if it was too big on him. (Although the the legs are elastic so that would help).I did safety pin the hood a little so it didn't go into his eyes. He would have wanted it OFF then! :) The slippers looked cute and he was able to walk in them with no problem. I wouldn't recommend having a child walk outdoors with these for a long distance or in any kind of dirt or rain because they are just like sleeper bottoms, grippy but made from fabric.

So adorable!! I tried this on my little guy tonight and it was too stinkin' cute! It fit very well, true to side. I like that it zipped up the back as well as having a snap crotch. I pulled it over his head, but the extra room from the zipper was helpful to get his arms through. I was worried he would hate the head piece, but so far he doesn't seem to mind it too much. I also like that inside the claws there are actual sleeves. I didn't realize that was the case when i ordered it, and that is a plus. I also like that the feet are separate. My son is only learning how to walk, but he actually didn't have too much trouble walking in them despite the fact that they are quite large compared to his actual foot. My only concern is the little antenna or whatever on the top fo the head dont stand up, and tend to flop forward into his face. He actually thought they were really fun to play with, but it spoils the look of the costume just slightly. I'm going to try to get them to stand up before halloween.

I was worried when I read some of the lower star reviews, but we had been planning a lobster/chef combo for my daughter's first year trick-or-treating for a while. Which translates to: Dad needed something really cute to get strangers to give him candy that our daughter would obviously not be eating as a 1 year old. So I went ahead and purchased this costume and a chef outfit for Dad, and I couldn't be happier. My daughter is on the smaller side for her age (20lbs 28 inches) and this fit perfect, she has a little room, which is great because the lining isn't very flexible. I can see where getting this on a slightly larger child would be a struggle with the arms. The crotch snaps though, which is perfect for diaper changes, and the eyes looked great to me. At first they were a little stoned looking (which Dad and I found hilarious) but after fluffing them up a bit they looked fine. The material is great quality for a halloween costume, and definitely enough to keep her warm in Colorado.

We just received this costume in the mail and it is adorable!! I admit I was a little reluctant to purchase a costume for my 14 month old that was $40, but when I saw another customer's review of the constume of the mom (chef) and the dad (larger pot), I gave in, knowing I would be saving $$ by making both of ours.When I first saw the costume (my 14 month old is 22lbs) I thought it was going to be too big.. but after we had him tried it on, we thought it was perfect! I would much rather have the costume a little big than too snug. All in all I would definitley recommend this costume.. I think it is very cute and very original!!.. one thing I wanted to mention is that the costume seems to be a little warm.. I am hoping that Halloween is a cool day.. otherwise would be perfect for the cooler states!

we got tons of compliments on our sons lobster costume. it is a really cute costume, and went great with me and my wifes chef costumes! my only main complaint about it was the cheap snap buttons. they ripped out of the fabric REALLY easily, so after a few buttons we learned we had to be extremely careful when removing the costume so the buttons didnt break. the rest of the costume was pretty durable though. our son also seemed pretty comfortable in it.

This costume really is as cute as it is in the picture. It is made out of thick, soft material to keep baby warm and comfy on a cold Halloween night. It is true to size, fit my baby perfectly.The arms have sleeves with elastic around the wrists to keep baby's arms warm, and then the "claw" part is a separate (but attached) plushy part that goes over the arm and hand for cuteness. The feet are removable slippers that have elastic around the ankle, so they stay on (although if baby is walking, you may want to take them off). Snaps on the bottom for easy diaper changing. The hat has a velro under the chin to keep it on, although baby will still be able to pull it off if he really doesn't like wearing it.

How nice to get a Halloween costume that isn’t essentially disposable! My son wore this for Halloween last year to be Sebastian to his older sister’s Ariel costume. He’s still plays with it nine months later and it shows no wear. This would be a great costume for those in colder climates, as it is pretty thick. It was almost too hot for our 75 degree trick-or-treating in the southeast. It has a nice nylon liner in it so it goes on and off without any fuss.
