I want some 2mm shock cord to replace the elastic in my tent poles. I assume this will work. Has anyone used it for this purpose please?

I don't see why not. The cord is quite thin - 2mm, so I am not sure how robust it would be used for this purpose and how easily it may snap if put under too much tension, though.

Is it 2mm as described or 6mm as the picture?

2mm but strong. Using it to hold tarpaulin down and has done for well over a year
