Cuts very easily with scissors or a utility knife
I purchased this product when I ran out of Arma Foil radiant barrier and only needed a few hundred feet to finish the job. I certainly appreciated the lower price of this product. I think the shipping weight of Arma Foil is 21 pounds versus 16 pounds for this product. It is much thinner and certainly tears much easier, but you really have to be trying to make it rip. Cuts very easily with scissors or a utility knife. For future projects, I will certainly use this product for “blanket style” covering of existing insulation. It moves around very easily by hand or with a telescoping handle that has a nail at the end. My rafters are 24” in center, so the 48” width is difficult to work with. Instead, I made cuts are 27” so this gave me 27” x 48” and then I would staple it to the rafters, so that is had 1-2 inches on either side of the rafter. Took more time to cut the smaller sections, yet it was easier to work in smaller sections. It has only been a week, but I can tell no difference between the sections of my house where I used Arma Foil versus Super R Diamond. My AC runs a lot less and I am expecting that my utility bill with be lower as a result. This is a good product and half the price. Will be picking up another roll here very soon for another project.

Good stuff
I keep finding more uses for this, I got it to put over my windows to keep the light and heat out. I had to use two layers to keep the light out completely, but even one layer would have made it dark enough. I also put this up in my plant room to help me control the heat, it works very well. I am able to keep my warmer weather plants warm without the heat spreading to my cool weather plants.

Keeps my house cool, I put this in immediately after moving in and before the first summer in my new home, not sure how much savings it's created but my a/c rarely kicks on and my home is cool. I have a radiant barrier as well as cellulose insulation.

Cheap but tough.
This stuff is great. Texas. Summer. Garage attic. I'm trying to keep the garage from getting so hot in the summer. About half way done. This stuff is tough enough to chunk the roll around the attic with no concerns. I've had a few staples tear out but I'm learning better how much tension it can handle. I have 48" rafters so an extra inch or two would make installation easier. The cheapest one out there and I'm impressed.

Worked great, I used about 2000 sqft for about 3000 sqft of living space. It's not as easy as it seems to put inside your attic, unless you have a walkable attic. Take your time to put this stuff on right, and use assistance of possible.

Good product
Very durable and strong product. Installed in my attic this late spring. The summer will tell how effective it is in reducing my home cooling requirements.
