This is a 1995 vintage 19 Year Old GlenDronach Single Malt matured in a single Sherry Cask. Only 633 bottles were produced from this cask and is a UK exclusive release. Nose: Sticky dates, aromatic winter spice, mulled sherry, burnt treacle, sherry soaked sutanas and mixed peel, dark honey roasted apples, mincemeat, fig rolls and all wrapped in rich nutty sherried oak. Palate: treacle tart, rich and sticky dates, sherry soaked raisins, toffee apple, maple syrup on poached pears, nut brittle, dark honey, aromatic spices (nutmeg & clove) orange bitters, peppery sherried oak. Finish: treacle toffee, christmas cake mix, roasted walnuts, sherry nsoaked dried fruit, juicy and ripe figs, drying into waxy orange and autumnal forest floor notes. A sherry monster of a malt that you would expect from Glendronach and as per usual punches well above its price in terms of quality and enjoyment.
