This may be a little on the expensive side but it is a quality bit of kit that does the job.

The media could not be loaded. A great addition for your fire pit that stops the majority of sparks. It definitely stops the larger 'lump' sparks getting through, but the smaller, shorter lived ones do get through; these are usually too small to cause any harm. One thing to be aware of, however, is that if you also have the heat deflector fitted you can not remove the top of the shield to add more wood unless you first remove the deflector. This means you have to have somewhere safe to put the deflector down. Once that is removed you can put the shield top on top of the deflector. Not a major problem but definitely something to be aware of and plan for.Overall I would recommend this product.

A useful item if you need to leave the fire unattended and there is a risk of embers causing a secondary fire. I purchased it but did not really need it. The fire shield does the job adequately.

The design is kind of busy & functional, rather than sleek like the fire pit, but it helps keep embers from flying away while not inhibiting your ability to add wood to the fire. Given the wildfire risk where I live, it’s a mandatory accessory.

I actually love my solo stove heat deflector and Spark screen except both of the handles broke off the top of my spark screen I've only used it about six times. Pretty sad when it costs over dollars. Have to have a friend fix it now.
