Avoid harsh chemicals, scouring sponges or high-performance detergents or soaking cookware in water. If your cast iron sticks or rusts, no panic. Restore your pan by following the instructions below: Wash with a warm and non-abrasive brush. Rinse moisture completely and dry to avoid rust. Apply oil to the surface with a thin, even layer. Lay the bottom of the oven with foil and set the oven to 350°F to 400°F. Place the pan inverted on the grate and bake for an hour. Allow to cool in the oven and store in a cool, dry place.
