The green is very dark and looks almost black, and yes the texture and hardness are not inviting, but my 6 year old fell straight on her head off a trapeze bar onto this thing. She was FINE and I’d pay for it twice over. I have daredevil kids and this is cheaper than a single ER visit so I’m just glad it exists.

We have several different swings in our backyard and grass will not grow under them. We used these mats under the swings to provide cushion, but also to cover the dirt/mud pile. They are a heavy, sturdy productnand easy to install. Didn't take much the level under the mat and its been helpful in eliminating dirt/mud piles and better for my kids to swing. Wonderful product! I ended up ordering more to put under all swing areas!

Very thick, very sturdy/well made (I sat on a folding chair on top of the mats and it didn't leave any dents.) Very heavy, each mat is about 90 lbs (a palette of 10 was something like 926 lbs) As a swing mat I would wish they might be larger/longer, but for our purposes they worked fine (we created a playground area using 6 of these side by side under our swing and another 4 together in a small slide area.) Overall we are happy with this purchase.

This mat is not soft at all. It is only slightly softer than the concrete under it. The surface is so rough, I fear that it is actually worse than if my kid fell onto concrete

Green wear mats look so much nicer than black and they do not get as hot in the sun!
