They taste funny, like an old-fashioned breath mint, but they last a long time, don’t slip around in the mouth, and keep your vocal chords and throat lubricated and a little bit anesthetized. They don’t give that awful hot/icy sensation with water that cough drops do. Recommended for everyone who doesn’t want to sound like a lifelong smoker after a half hour of making oneself heard.

I bought these as a last ditch effort to get my voice back after the removal of my thyroid (thyroidectomy) and a very large goiter that was on my thyroid. It got stuck to my right side vocal nerve but the nerve was intact. I bought these before my post op appointment where they scoped me and learned that my left vocal fold was trying to work but was just very weak. No lozenge (Pastille) is going to help that. Time and exercise (speaking as much as possible) helps that.That said, these are VERY strong menthol. They are black (which threw me) and the mentol in them is super strong and did help clear some mucus all by itself. I have a build up of mucus due to the trauma my throat went through due to rough intubation during surgery and also I am an ex smoker but current vaper (nicotine vaporizer) and so mucus is a big part of my post surgery issues. Also I would loose the voice I gained if I vaped but I'm addicted to vaping so its hard not to. These did not help to regain that voice back like I expected it to (and really needed it to). BUT, since the mentol in these are super strong, they will clear mucus and sinuses from cold & flu, sinus infections, etc. If you are simply sick, these will help clear you out. They are the strongest mentol lozenge (Pastille) I have ever sucked on.That said, they are about half the size of normal (in the US) cough drop and lasts about half as long (if not less). They get gummy quickly and desolve much quicker then a normal cough drop does. I'm not sure if they need to last longer because of how strong they are (the the mentol sticks around for a while) but keep that in mind.I gave it 3 stars because it didn't work to help my voice and are small (considering the price, I would expect them to be bigger and last longer and be cheaper. These are expensive for what you are getting) but, they are strong and would clear out mucus and sinus very fast. Its almost like sucking on straight Vicks vapor rub or something. So, for that reason, I gave it 3 stars.It depends on why you lost your voice and if its due to cold & flu & sinus infections these will help but that said, there are most likely cheaper alternatives that are old verison strong cough drops. These are very expensive for what you are getting.
