Works well as a double boiler or a container. Just be careful and make sure to take it out of the pot when adding more water to the double boil or the glass might crack due to the rapidly changing temperature. You can get a much better price if you're willing to buy in bulk.

They were Ball brand and great quality.Company was easy to work with as I thought it was a case of 12 and was actually 2 jars - and sorry, but way over priced for 2 - They refunded money quickly - will read more carefully next time

It was a complete rip off ! I got 3 jars I thought I was getting 3 cases for the amount I spent . Still don’t understand how they can charge over 13$ for a canning jar each ! I will be sending them back just been busy .

What an unbelievable business model. Buy a case of jars for $12 or less and then list them for sale on Amazon individually for $13 each. Who would even think that this was a single jar when you can get them almost anywhere else retail in a brick and mortar store for $10 or $11 for a case of 12. Misleading! I will admit no where in the air does it say this is for a case of 12 but it is does not clearly describe it as a single jar. They shouldn’t even be allowed to list this product for sale for this price on this site.

The huge jar is great for coffee on those dreaded mornings when your kids keep you up all night.

I use this for the curing process of homegrown weed. Good size and good value.
