You get what you pay for
Very disappointed! Purchased this as a Christmas gift. When my son opened the box and started to tune, he noticed a major crack in the neck. Shipping this back immediately and will head over to Guitar Center tomorrow.

Very odd the description does not mention the wood that the neck and body is constructed of ?

Needs some assembly, but nice instrument
This banjo took a little work to assemble, but was a nice instrument for the price. My husband set the bridge and had to purchase additional strings. My family purchased this for my dad for Christmas, but did not receive it due to a problem which we resolved with customer service. We gave it to my Dad in January shortly before he unexpectedly passed away.

I got if for my son. He loves music and likes to learn how to play new instruments. I would rather him play a banjo than a video game. I think it costs less than some video games I have bought for him.

Purchased this banjo for my husband as a birthday gift. He loves it! He has wanted to learn how to play for quite a while now. I was happy to buy this for him at a very reasonable price. Its a beautiful instrument and I look forward to listening to him play.
