Pros:Fastest sight picture.Easy to see even for aging eyes.Really good sight picture in low light or no light.Easiest sights to use bar none .I'm talking red dot sight type of easy.Cons:Requires hand fitting of front sight .If you are lesser intelligent or suck with tools please have a gunsmith install these. There is no shame in having a professional work on something.Installation:I had to use a plumbing butane torch to heat the front dovetail to break loose the factory staked front sight .apply heat from bottom of the slide with recoil spring and barrel removed.Mounted in a vise padded with wood. I had to strike a steel punch pretty hard after heating to get front sight off.I used flat file from orieleys made for filing piston rings. Used grinder to angle it in a wedge shape in order to file the dovetail on the new front sight and clear the under side of sight.If you file too much don't worry the red locktite provided will secure it firmly.Minevwas loose moved easily by hand but i applied red locktite centered the sight and waited the reccomend 3 hours. It will not budge now even after 200 rounds test firing.

These are great sights. Hardest part is getting the stock sights off. I have a Gen 1 Shield 9mm PC. They where a bear to get off but with the right tools youll be fine. Far as the install it really couldnt of been any easier. For me I had to file the bottom of the front sight to get it in about a quarter to half way (do not file the sides of the sight just the bottom). Tap it from all and apply there thread locker they include. For the rear sight to my surprise slid right in very easily just set dont over tighten the set screws apply the thread locker let sit and sure I waited 10min then cleaned the left over locker. I wanted until the next day to shoot and wow amazing for target shooting and was a CC. Overall just amazing sights and if your not sure about them their customer service is amazing very helpful and informational. Basically at the end of the day if you just follow the directions they give you'll be just fine.

I really like these sights. They are easier to pick up than the factory 3 dot sights. they are highly visible and the front and rear are easy to tell apart in low light and darkness. Would highly recommend.

DO NOT GET THESE FOR A SMITH & WESSON!I have a Big Dot sight for my GLOCK - install was easy and the sight is outstanding. My S&W M&P 2.0 was a completely different story as the sight was destroyed upon attempted installation. Of course, it cannot be returned to Amazon (mea culpa for not reading that part in advance).

Installed on 9mm shield EZ. When installing you will probably have to shave down the fit a little at a time and I suggest using a nylon punch or the like when tapping into place if you aren't having a gunsmith do it for you. I took on the arduous task of doing it myself. The sights work wonders and aligned it well enough to hit 4" groups at 15yards centered around the bullseye. At that range its basically hitting combat hold but this may vary based on barrel length and ammunition you use. Overall bought it used for 70 like new and appreciate it more than the performance center tritiums. Easy targeting especially at range with follow up shots as there is less obstruction to the right and left of your front dot as with traditional sights. I recommend, but only if you can be bothered to fight with it.

Just like any Smith and wrsson sites hard install but 100% love these easy target accusation and easy front site focus can't complain.

These were the first set of XS sights I've ever tried, and now I want them on all my carry guns! My first trip to the range, I was able to get a feel for it at varying distances with the siluette target. On the bull's-eye target, I sent it out to 10 yards, and did double taps till my 2 magazines were empty. I DIDN'T MISS EVEN ONCE!! My first taps were in the center, and my second tap was maybe just a little off, but still in the circle! These sights are made for speed, and appear to be pretty darn accurate too!! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

I've tried several different kinds of sights but and now ALL my handguns have XS DXT2 Big Dots with the yellow front dot. That seems to be the most visible. When you get older and need glasses and have astigmatism, it just takes too long to find small dots, squares, or triangles. In a defensive situation, you may not even see the sights and will just be point shooting. But the Big Dots give you the best chance for your eyes to pick-up on something quickly to put on center of mass and squeeze the bang lever.
