This tape exceeds my expectations at both being tape and glowing.It's a very robust fabric tape with a grippy, matte surface. It sticks very strongly, yet removes without leaving residue and did not harm the wooden surface I applied it to (though we'll see if this remains true over the long term).The glow is initially very bright when it's been charged under a bright light for a few minutes. Almost too bright. But the super brightness fades to a more sedate level over the first 2-3 minutes, and then it maintains a low glow for many hours. I used the tape to mark the corners of furniture in my baby's room so I wouldn't stumble in the dark. It works perfectly for this purpose. In the dark room, the glow remains visible all through the night.I will definitely buy more Gaffer Power tapes for other purposes in the future.

Where has this been all my life?? I originally was trying to find neon washi tape to decorate picture frames but none of them were actually neon. I decided to take a chance and see what this stuff was like and it was a GREAT decision and worth the money. You get a lot of tape and it is vibrant, bright and actually sticks and removes when you need it to. I had to adjust it several times trying to make sure I made it as straight as possible on the frames and it still stuck wonderfully after all that. It's a great way to experiment with colors without permanently changing frames/furniture/etc. If only they made it in every color and pattern under the sun!

This is indeed real gaffers tape. And it has a very good glow in the dark. I use it on my light switches and device cords so I can find them in the dark. I could easily go crazy taping things. The roll isn’t much, but enough for me

Good luminescent tape. It fits the definition of gaffer's tape in that it's a structurally strong cloth tape with easy high adhesion and easy removal with no residue or gumminess. Can be removed and re-applied. Not as adhesive as regular gaffer's tape. Not as luminescent as the plastic 'peel'n'stick' glow in the dark tape, but will last through the night. Not so bright you could see it in a movie theater after a half an hour, but you'll definitely see it if you wake up at four in the a.m and your eyes have adjusted to darkness.I like it, wish it came in a bigger size.Edited to add: Since this is a cloth tape it will get wet and will get stained, unlike plastic peel'n'stick glow tape. I have both types on a coffee mug and this gaffer's tape has started turning brown in spots after washing out grounds, while the plastic tape is pristine. This has affected the luminescence some. Have yet to try cleaning it with a toothbrush. But then again the plastic peel'n'stick tape is a giant pain to clean off of something after it has adhered a while. Happy with the trade off for ease of removal.

Our group did a multi-act theatrical performance on a portable/modular stage in a hotel ballroom. I used different colors to mark where mic stands should be placed, performers should stand, etc. Just before the start of the show we used a UV flashlight to make the tape glow so the actors could find their opening positions. It all worked out great.In normal light, the colors are bright and clear. In UV light, the colors are as bright as any I've seen (blue is always a bit dim, and yellow is always a bit greenish -- this is normal).The tape tears cleanly both laterally and longitudinally. The tape adheres well to a variety of surfaces (though it feels like it's maybe a bit on the weak side) and releases cleanly. The tape has good texture, thickness and evenness.This is the first show in which I've used this brand. I've added it to my approved list.

Just cut into small pieces and stick to your disc, hit with your favorite UV light and it's time for some glow disc rounds

I've heard about gaffers tape, but didn't give it any thought. But I ran into a situation in which my usual, duct tape, shouldn't be used. Duct tape tends to leave a lot of difficult to remove residue. If I do need to use the tape, I can't leave bad residue. While I haven't used it long enough to test for residue, short term it left none. I tried it on a worn, painted surface, on stainless steel, and plastic. Perfect! Also, it's much more flexible than duct tape, and conforms to awkward shapes. It has a cloth-like backing that seems very strong, yet it is fairly easy to tear by hand. And the adhesive is very sticky.I was looking for a highly rated, reasonably priced roll of gaffer tape, preferably a smaller roll. None of the smaller ones seemed to be that great, so I ordered this larger one. I'm glad I did! If it was cheaper, I'd replace duct tape with this completely.Highly recommended!

I bought this tape to help me find my TV remote, USB-C charging cable, and other odds and ends in the dark. I found that it only glowed if I exposed it for a long time inches from a bright source (for example, placing it inches from an incandescent bulb for 10-15 minutes), and then the glow was weak. Even that faded within 20 minutes or so to almost nothing. The idea of this tape is fantastic, but the performance was poor and ultimately the tape was not useful to me.

False advertising. It glows in the dark, but it's not gaffer tape, not even slightly.
