Ok we have tried using this figure of 8 lead, while it's simple, soft, light web style lead, it works! We tried a Halti head harness but it was to fussy with its style, straps, sizing, rings etc. However this lead is simple, easy to put on and adjust. Ok the dog is not over keen on the straps round her mouth, however she can still open her mouth, eat, drink, pick up ball etc. It's like when a puppy has its first collar & lead, they just need to get used to it as it's something new. Handle end also has clip to attach to collar for safety, while I use, not had situation where come off head if fitted correctly. Would recommend if your dog pulls, better than trying to pull back on harness or collar. Walks now feel more enjoyable and dog still gets to sniff around etc, just cant pull and tug so much. Remember praise them calmly, give treats, so they get used to it and you can then both enjoy your walks together.

I bought this for my injored collie x springer who needed to be lead walked only. Usually I can't hold this dog. Hes incredible strong and pulls like a teain. However he walks so mych better on this. Its easy to put on and I find it best to fasten to his collar too. Then I can use some control still on his collar. This makes it much gentler than the head control collars like haltis etc. I would recommend trying this if your struggling as I was.

We have a couple of dogs who pulls like trains. I thought I'd give this lead a try as most of the reviews were positive. We were amazed with how quickly this lead worked. It took the dogs a few days to get used to wearing the lead around the nose, but it did not restrict them eating or opening there mouth at all. It saves you getting pulled around and allows the dog to still have a walk where they can sniff and enjoy themselves. However, it is a little long and the dogs can wrap it around there legs if too lose. The most important part of this lead and why we went for this make was the clip, for the collar. You want to make sure if the dog slips out of the head collar, you still have one point of connection! Well designed and good material. Would definitely recommend.

I specifically wanted a padded nose band so there would be no discomfort or marks left on her nose . This was advertised as padded but isn’t .The webbing also twists . The overall design is ok but could be a lot better , I would not buy it again

Despite many, many months of training [and with professional dog handlers] my Springer still pulls on the lead. He has actually pulled me over on several occasions. I've been using a figure of eight slip lead successfully with my ESS for a few months now. I was a bit dubious about using a figure of eight at first due to mixed reviews. However as soon as I pick up the lead, he's at my heel ready to go, so I figure he's happy with it. This particular lead is longer than most, it's very well made and there is a clip at the end of the lead which can be attached to the dogs collar. It is the perfect length for us. Definitely transformed our walks, it's great!

Not sturdy, you almost get abit worries when you’re adjusting the buckle around the head as it seems as if it’s going to snap off . Also the clip isn’t as sturdy as I’d hope .

I am really impressed with this collar/lead. My dog is a Romanian Rescue dog and he weighs almost 5 stone. He pulls on the leash and lunges at passing men. It was getting to be really hard to stop it. This was my last resort. I bought this and received it today.No instructions with it so checked youtube out and learned from there.He doesn't like it but I persevered and I just cannot believe how it has stopped him pulling and lunging. He does try to get it off but he has not been successful. I think as each day goes by and the more it is used, he will be ok. This collar has been wonderful so far. He walks by my side now with no pull or lunging whatsoever. Amazing!!!! Fully recommended.

I love these leads, it's the only one I can use on my big mixed breed that really works and doesn't come off. I've bought other figure of 8's before but they can get out of them if they back up but this one doesn't allow that. It's very long so you can let them have their head where it's safe to do so. It's extremely sturdy and does the job. I'm disabled and I use a scooter to walk both my large dogs and I dont have any problems and allows me to hold both dogs in one hand while using the scooter, safe and reliable a good buy
