I have a Nikon D7000 which came with a Nikon battery. When these two Wasabis arrived from Blue Nook, I fully charged all three batteries. I put one Wasabi in my camera and the other two, properly capped, in my camera bag. After eight weeks and about 600 shots, the camera showed half power so I decided to switch to a fresh battery. Surprise! The "fully charged" Wasabi in my bag also showed only half power! The OEM Nikon battery showed full power.I understand batteries can give longer life after several charging cycles and the Nikon battery has been through many over nine months, whereas the Wasabis are brand new. Perhaps I have a dud. Certainly, losing half power in eight weeks of storage reduces the value of this Wasabi as a back-up battery. I'll keep using the Wasabis and update my review if their life increases, but for now, I repeat the old adage: you get what you pay for.UPDATE Dec 11, 2012 SURPRISE AGAIN!! Only hours after I submitted this reveiw, Blue Nook called with an apology and an offer to replace the defective battery. They certainly stand behind their products. I've changed my rating to five stars for such good service, quality batteries and a very good price. Incidentally, the service rep confirmed the fact that rechargeable batteries reach their maximum charge only after several charging cycles.

I have been waiting for a replacement battery for my Nikon D800 for a while now because the OEM is $65 and in my opinion is not worth it, and finally it came out. I actually waited a few days to see if anyone actually would purchase it and write a review before I buy it, but no one did. So I took a chance and buy them before the the price goes up. I got the 2 of the Wasabi from Blue-Nook with the charger kit for better pricing. I guess I'll be the 1st to review it:Pro: So far the battery is working well when inserted into my Nikon D800. The camera does detect the % of battery remain, and can be charge with the original Nikon charger. I also tried to charge the OEM battery with the Wasabi charger and had no problem so far. I have not had any issue using the battery with the camera itself. The camera detects and uses the battery like how it always does. Not much to comment on that.Con: I do have the Meike grip. When using this battery with the grip, for some reasons, after turning the camera off for 5-10 mins and turn it back on, the grip couldn't detect the battery in the tray. So I have to take out the battery tray from the grip, and simply reinserted it. It's not too much trouble, but it does get annoying. I tried using the OEM battery with the grip and this issue does not occur. But the problem does not occur when I inserted the battery into the camera itself. So there might be a communication problem between the Meike grip and the battery. Let me know if anyone else encounters this issue and how I can fix it, if possible.Overall: I am happy with the battery because I don't use the grip that often. I got TWO batteries for a cheaper price than ONE original one. I'll update my review if I see any other issue.

Purchased this kit after all of the positive reviews. I should have looked closer at the negative reviews. I charged both batteries up and both showed fully charged. When I put the first one in it read only one bar on the battery meter and died almost immediately. The second one read two bars and crapped out after five photos. Unfortunately I'm using these Christmas morning, and as a result have lost a lot of great shots of my kids that I'll never get back. My original Nikon battery is in the charger as I speak.I'm very sad, disappointed, and flat out frustrated! I've emailed Blue Nook, and will update this review when/if I hear from them. This kit will be returned to Amazon first thing tomorrow.UPDATE:I received a call and email from Blue Nook, and I returned their call I had a very nice conversation with Terry who was very apologetic and offered to replace the batteries. I had already sent them back to Amazon, but after speaking with him, I am going to order another set and report back here. Excellent customer service from Blue Nook!UPDATE 2:My second set arrived and I've had several days to test the batteries and the charger. All are first rate! The batteries last just as long (I think even a bit longer) as the OEM Nikon battery. The display on the D7100 correctly displays the remaining battery info. The charger is great as well. Couple that with top-notch customer service and the three year warranty that Blue Nook stands behind 100% and this purchase is a no-brainer! Thanks Terry and Blue Nook!

arrived on time, well packaged and in good working condition. Charged one in supplied charger and the other in Nikon oem charger. Both charged with no problem. tried oem battery in wasabi charger and that worked no problem as well. Both batteries came off the charger at room temp. so no heat issues there.Both batteries displayed in my D7100 as new and fully charged. I have only used one of them so far and it lasted thru a full day of use. If anything it seemed to last longer than the OEM. I took over 300 pictures and left the live view on for long periods of time as a test. End of day still had 50% left on the charge. I can not speak for the life of the 2nd battery yet, have not used it other than to insure it was recognized by the camera. Will repost if there is any issues with it but no reason yet to expect problems.I will agree with some other posters that the 2 plastic tabs on the charger look delicate and easy to break but we will cross that bridge if we get to it. I like the car charging and European plug adaptors. I plan on leaving this charger in the car as a backup and when I do travel the 220 plug will come in handy.I will recommend Wasabi batteries to friends and would not hesitate to buy other products from them based on this purchase.

works as advertised no initial issues, I'll update this after durability is determined.UpdateJuly 2019 still using these in a Nikon D200 and still performing reasonably so I'll go ahead and give this a 5 star since anything that works for 3 years is a winner

Batteries and charger work great. Batteries last , and they charge quickly. Have no regrets. Have two rock solid batteries and an extra charger for a fraction of the cost.

Everything came in a neat, compact box and was exactly as advertised - therefore nothing to complain about. I've now had the opportunity to use a battery, and am pleased with it. Future needs will turn to this brand.
