Selle Italia Selle Italia S 5 Superflow Saddle, Black/Hi-Viz

Wow what an awesome bike seat! I rode 100 miles this week using this seat and I have no pain in my ass! Much better than the $170 seat I bought!

This is a nice saddle, and it is very comfortable. The affordable price makes it even better. My sit-bone spacing is about 120 mm, and this 160 mm saddle fits me perfectly. The padding is thick enough to alleviate the sit-bone pain I had been getting with my previous saddle, but thin enough to prevent tissue rubbing issues.

Very good saddle, but, might not be the one my butt needs for a 30 miles long ride.

Comfort, gel, good quality

I retired my racing/road saddle. It was also a Selle Italia and still looks new after 10,000 miles. However I needed some cushion under my butt that my racing saddle wasn’t providing. I decided to give this S5 saddle a try. After only three rides I’m loving it. This S5 has 3 times the cushioning as my Selle Italia SLR Boost TM Superflow. This S5 is a great value and the comfort is amazing compared to the racing saddle. My concern is whether or not the gel padding will continue to offer such amazing cushioning. I’ll update this post in 3-6 months. *UPDATE* 2 Weeks after purchase. Saddle is still quite amazing. Minimal to none testicle, butt, internal numbness. 👍🏻

This seat is so comfortable, I still cannot believe it. I’m so glad I got it. It took 2 weeks to arrive, but now I can honestly say it was well worth it. Not too expensive but my butt is thanking me for it on those long rides. Don’t even hesitate to buy this. I got the narrower one and I’m a big guy and it’s perfect for my butt bones. Yahooo

Seems like it would be a comfortable seat, although I am uncertain it is authentic as it came in an unbranded plastic bag. It has also clearly been used, as evidenced by the attempt to cover the rail scratches with permanent marker, the scuff on the padding, and the chip in the rear plastic. I understand the need to test fit a seat, but this one has clearly been ridden, returned and resold as new.

I got a sit bone/spinal issue, so this saddle works great for a guy like me, yet it's light enough. I don't ride for competition, so this is a great balance

Sella acquistata per utilizzo mtb anche impegnativo, anche se destinata al touring, giacchè le dimensioni non sono eccessive in larghezza (taglia S). La sella è ben rifinita anche se ovviamente è tutta in plastica, dato il prezzo non si può pretendere niente di meglio. Il canale centrale è molto efficace anche se non al livello di una SMP analoga. L'imbottitura è molto spessa, ma non troppo cedevole, cosa che la rende più idonea per persone pesanti, per un ciclista leggero è un pò uno spreco, meglio puntare ad un imbottitura più sottile. Il comfort naturalmente è elevato, alla prima uscita ci ho pedalato 5 ore senza problemi, con pantalone con fondello. Estetica e peso sono adeguati, certo non ha la linea di una sella supersportiva, ma nemmeno quella di una classica sella da city bike. Per chi pedala molto in salita è preferibile posizionarla con la punta leggermente inclinata verso il basso, per evitare di scivolare all'indietro.

Siodełko z wyglądu super. W miarę wygodne. Do mtb idelane. Waga również. Po ok 200 km zaczyna skrzypieć. Nie pomogło smarowanie wielu punktów. Zwrócone do sklepu. Reklamacja uznana.

Great on my road bike for long rides, no more discomfort from the saddle. With my previous saddle I started to have pain after 20-30 km that's no longer an issue. This saddle has been a life saver.
