Most Recommended CNA Study Guide
At first, I was hesitant to buy this guide since I read a negative review that said it was “unreadable” due to printing issues. However, I found top recommendations all over the internet and from my classmates and decided it had to be good.I’m not sure what the reviewer saw, but it was absolutely fine. In truth, it was a little unfair and misleading that the poor review reflected on the book and not the printing company – which subsequently was Amazon’s printing company. Plus, compared to the other CNA study guides, this was BY FAR THE BEST…my friends were right.Unlike other study guides, I was thoroughly impressed with the layout and the presentation of the information. I enjoyed the fact that every chapter started with keywords and phrases for each subject and then moved in a methodical nature through the material. It’s as if I knew what to expect in the next chapter, and really helped me to flip back to important parts of the book.I also loved their pretest. The purpose of this was to immediately help me figure out where I needed more help. Although these questions seemed to be a little too easy, it was still a good indication of where I was weakest. Finally, my favorite part to this guide was the practical procedures at the end. With each major practical procedure on each page, it became easy for my study partner and I to practice. She would tell me the required procedure, and I would walk through each step as if I were performing the real test. Although we had our notes, we found there were some key parts that we had just taken for granted, like washing our hands or speaking to the patient as we performed.

Great book...
I finished up my course work a little bit ago and figured I needed a CNA study guide to help me prepare for the test. So, i jumped on Amazon and found a couple of CNA study guide books. Here's what I learned:1. The official CNA Study Guide was the better of the three2. CNA Certified Nursing Assistant Exam Cram came in a close second, although a little outdated (2009?)3. CNA Study Guide: Nurse Assistant Complete Test Prep was good but didn't have as much content as #1 and 2.4. And I didn't try the rest because they looked really unprofessional. The official CNA Study Guide in particular did an excellent job of organizing the information and I especially loved its Pretest which helped me to immediately figure out where I needed to work harder. I also liked that they focused on the practical exam portion and did an excellent job of providing the required steps as well as recommendations. The CNA Exam Cram book did this as well...not so much for the others.

Very helpful
Simple, easy to understand but the letters are typed weird in most of the wordings of this book. I have to read the words carefully because of the type used for wording this book. Too bad it no longer has the CD anymore. It has test review questions after each chapter and a final exam review of questions to prepare for the Finals.

Studying to be a CNA? GET THIS STUDY GUIDE!
I bought the Official CNA Study Guide as a gift to help a friend study to be a certified nursing assistant. She LOVES this guide! (Yep, I’m a hero now!) She said she feels so much more prepared for the CNA exam than she did before and she was actually considering not even taking it (something I didn’t even know - she will make a great nursing assistant). Because I wanted to leave this review, I asked her what she liked most about it and it was the practice tests that got her feeling more confident, plus it has a ton of information. If you’re studying to be a nursing assistant and need a study guide, this is the ticket!

Kindle edition was fantastic!
I ordered the Kindle version of this book and I was quite happy with the results. There were no issues with the printing as far as I could tell, so I am not sure what the negative reviews were talking about... but as for the content of the book, I have to say it was top notch. The topics are easy to read and thoroughly explained. There are even examples from previous tests. This book made studying for my CNA simple and painless. I highly recommend this book to anyone taking the exam.

It's Official - a must read/study guide
Although this book is written for CNAs, anyone getting started in the health care field will find it helpful. This book breaks down complex information into an easy to understand manner. Great care is taken to explain each area of study. There is also a great “concept of loss and end of life" chapter which provides solid advice on how to work with grieving families.

Great study guide
Great study guide, terrible font/printing quality. Who chose this font for a study guide!? Sometimes it looks like only half of the letter was printed or the letters are blotchy and whatnot. Makes it hard for my mom who already struggles reading small print.I know it's still readable to some people, but no one needs their eyes to get twice as tired while trying to study. ALL of the pages are like this.

Horrible.
After reading all the comments I really thought this book was going to be great... but boy was I wrong. The grammar and spelling errors in this book are unreal. The questions have wrong answers as right (I know because I compared it to my nursing textbook) on top of which, it did not help me prepare for my test because how am I supposed to know what is right?. I regret buying this and don't recommend it

Two practice tests and a pretest. Exactly what you need.
I bought this for a friend of mine who is preparing to take the exam. It has two practice tests and a pretest. After reading a few of the other comments on here, I'd have to agree with a lot of the positives and for a few bucks you're getting a really good deal. Some of the learning materials I paid for when writing my trade school exam were over double the price of what I paid for this book.
