metrinch sockets
I've had these deep impact sockets for a year now and they have held up great. when I first saw them I was skeptical but these sockets work amazing. traditional sockets grab the corners and strip out, these grab more towards the center where they can really bite down without slipping. they have saved my ass on some stripped lug nuts and many other fasteners with rounded stripped corners. and also these fit both metric and standard so there's no guessing.I also own the metrinch wrench set which also work great but the open end does slip on some sizes like 14mm. but that might be my fault for abusing them using two wrenches together for more leverage trick, but the box end of the wrenches fit great. the wrenches do feel like cheap metal compared to snap on yet they havnt broke on me yet, even when using a cheater pipe for leverage.I am so impressed with these I will be ordering the 3/8s shallow and deep socket set.

Metrinch=LOVE
Absolutely love these!!!. I can feel quality every time I hold them. I've used metrinch sockets for 20 years now, and none have ever failed me. As far as I am concerned, they are the best in the world.

Very good sockets
I was able to remove a stripped lug nut with these sockets. This saved the wheel , money and time. Very good sockets

Brilliant tools
See my review of the Combination Wrench set for our pros/cons of the Metrinch design - but these deep wall impact sockets are also the 'mutts nuts'.They work well with our really big impact drivers - even using the 1" drive version (with a reducer) that will just shred a normal Cr-V socket.. (650Nm!)Generally these are used on our 1/2" Metabo air impact driver - because it's light and nice to use - but still delivers a hefty torque - 365Nm (270ft/lb).No issues at all with the sockets - otherwise we'd not have 3 sets!No sign of wear yet - and they've been hammered hard daily.My only question - why don't Amazon UK stock them?We buy ours from a local tool outlet.
