Here's what it can do....
This generator seems really well designed and all, but that's not what I want this review to be about. When I bought mine there weren't any reviews that talked about the actual performance of the generator and that was what mattered to me.First off if you want max output it's best to turn off Eco Mode.1. The generator ran my 15Amp Dewalt circular saw with no problem at all. I zipped right through a 2x4 with it. I was also able to run my chest freezer and my circular saw at the same time.2. It powered my very large 15Amp Ridgid chop saw with no problem except the blade took 1-2 seconds to accelerate to it's max rpm.3. It failed to run my 8gal air compressor (which I expected it to). It was able to run my 3gal air compressor but only if it had no air pressure in it to begin with. I believe that the reason for this, is that air compressors are unique in that they turn on under load. Once the compressor is under 125psi the motor has to push the piston against that force in order to start (this would be analogous to trying to start a saw with its blade already lodged in a piece of wood).I wish this generator would have been able to run my compressor, but over the years I've realized that portability is something that adds a lot of value for me. A large regular type generator would be more powerful, but I would probably use it a lot less because I hate lugging those things around especially when they are full of gas. This generator is small and really light. I had no problem lifting it with one hand and carrying it just like you would carry a 5gal gas can. It is also amazingly quiet. It is quieter than practically every power tool and small engine I have. I really couldn't believe just how quiet it is.I also really liked how efficient this unit is, and if this inverter generator is powerful enough for you then you will really save a lot of money on gas compared to what a regular generator would use.Lastly, I like the Westinghouse name. The warranty is longer than another brand I was looking at and without going into too much detail the control board looks a lot higher quality than others I've seen. For example, the board is covered in a black silicon like epoxy to protect the components from excessive vibration. I saw a different brand of inverter fail because the coil had vibrated loose and shorted on the housing. If I have problems with this generator I'll try and update this review, but so far it's a 5 star for me.

Does not have 12v charging connector and cables like other generators in this class
Bought this to replace a Yamaha EF2400IS that was bigger than I needed. Very light, very quiet on regular or economy mode. Would not start a 12" miter saw without overloading, but I can always use a cord for that. Does not have 12v charging connector and cables like other generators in this class. Overall, seems like a very light and quiet generator that is decent for the price. I bought it because the quality seemed better than some other small generators that were not the tried and true (but expensive) Yamahas and Hondas.

Easy starting and no vibration
Light weight, very quiet. I ran it for 19 hours on the first tank of gas running a full size refrigerator and also a compact apartment size refrigerator to break it in.I stopped it every few hours to check the oil. At the end of 19 hours it finally ran out or fuel, used no oil, and showed no leaks or other problems.I was very impressed how quiet it is. I have a Yamaha EF3000iEB inverter style generator and this one is probably half the noise output of the Yamaha, although the Yamaha is relatively quiet also.Easy starting and no vibration. Smooth running and an exceptional generator for the cost.

Love it! Works great for the amperage rating
Love it! Works great for the amperage rating. Will not power my camper AC unit, but will power many other items, like a corded circular saw.

Despite all the great reviews and price
Despite all the great reviews and price, I'm gonna have to send this model in for repairs. Tests fine out of the box, but bogs down and stalls with a load on it. However, I was able to run the unit without bogging, and under a somewhat full load.... but only with the choke half open. I probably used more gas, but it did its job.

Very pleased!
2 days after I received this generator our power went out for 3 hours. It started with one pull and I ran it on the economy mode to operate my office telephone system, computer, printer and fax machine. I didn't need to put it on full power, very quiet and easy to operate. It looks nice and is compact and very portable. When I received this unit I filled it with the supplied oil and the funnel and handy measuring cup were simple to use, I filled it with gasoline and it was ready to work. I had a cheaper bulky brand before this that was hard to start and noisy. I really researched this Westinghouse WH2000 before purchasing it and I was really pleased with the results. Yes, it cost more than your basic units but less than other units of this quality and it is well worth it. It came with a cracked end plastic plate in shipping. I called Westinghouse and the pleasant girl on the phone send out a replacement end plate right away. That's the service all companies need to have!
