Taste of vanilla in sugar
I could smell the vanilla in the sugar, but didn't have a strong enough taste. The amount of sugar in the bottle was okay for the cost of it. I haven't used it for baking except for making a sugar coated snack, which that recipe called for using vanilla sugar.

Not vanilla flavored sugar
This is just sugar with a vanilla bean or two dipped in the jar.Result: the jar smells great, like vanilla. But the sugar itself has no vanilla flavor or smell retained WHEN USED.So basically if you want to use the sugar for vanilla flavor you just get sugar.Pointless.

I received my Hula Girl Sugar opened inside the package..and what wasn't in the bag, was hard as a rock!
