Treadstone: Season One [DVD]

Yeah I wish this series kept going.

The series has its flaws, no doubt about that, but it was still an ambitious, complex, entertaining action drama and deserved a second season. I particularly liked the 1973 origin story with the ambiguous, hot relationship between Bentley, the American CIA agent and Petra, his Russian KGB handler/lover. A whole show devoted to them would have been great, but their scenes are instead scattered throughout the 10 episodes and other characters' storylines. This is an ensemble show and unfortunately the four or five other disparate storylines, spread out across the world, aren't all as interesting as each other, the constant cutting between them often giving a slightly disjointed, uneven feel to the series. There is also a lot of set up for future seasons, which is all left hanging because the show was sadly canceled. I still think it's worth watching; there are some great moments and drama, but you're ultimately left a bit frustrated that it's left unfinished.On the DVD itself, this is a disappointing package. All you get are the episodes, no special features at all. This is annoying because a lot of behind the scenes material was shot and available on the USA website. Why they couldn't just put some of that on the DVD for fans, I don't understand.

I love season one well developed action pack very good story line all most believe it to be real and really happening now.

Interesting prelude to the Bourne series... the director chose to bounce back and forth in time and place with annoying frequency. I could follow the story, but no easily. Hope more continuous story telling in season 2

This movie jumps all over time-- back and forth from 1973 to present. The movie has too many sub-plots making it a nightmare to follow. The actors did a reasonable job especially after considering the script was a maze to get lost in. I bought the disc because it completed my Bourne Collection. I have almost 1400 movies. Treadstone is in my bottom 100. I'm glad there was not a season #2.

Great follow-up to the Borne series. Can't seem to get enough of these movies. They help provide relief from all of our normal daily problems.This Treadstone video production almost require one to take notes as it is complicated and jumps around so much that it is easy to forget who is who, but I hope there is a 2nd season or additional program to continue the intrigue.

Love season 1, sad it wasn't picked up for another season!!

delivered in anticipated time. been griipped and enthralled with the bourne franchise movies many twists anc turns plots which drawn me to view this series evoking interest, but only snag was unable to watch because it only played on region 1 code which didnt specify on display,bit in the dark and scratching my head bit, maybe will find right code viewing somewhere, found put second season got scraped which possibly so many loose ends left open from first season. always have a knack of doing these when you engroosed in a series

Please replace this item it was a gift and it has just been tried and does not work each CD say the same they haveTried and we did as well it just says playback prohibited by region code.Please advise where to return this DVD and please send a working replacementThank you
