Lean-it Scratching Post 19"

I have three of these for my cat in different sizes and he just loves them. It has stopped him completely from scratching it furniture.The only complaint I have is that there needs to be a separate item available for the base. It does not stay propped up so I have to jury rig each one with a bungee or some other method to make sure it stays standing. even a small kitten's weight can bring it down easily; especially the largest one.Still, it's a wonderful distraction for him, especially with a little catnip spray. The quality of the rug is just perfect for him. He doesn't like sisal so we prefer this sturdy rug. He plays with this one and the others I purchased regularly. It's good carpet; very tightly woven like an office carpet with low pile and made for heavy foot traffic.

Really like the durability and the look of these scratching posts they hold up really well as I leave them out side all the time even when it rains. They dry quickly and don’t fall apart like the cardboard ones did.The only downside is I should’ve gotten the taller one. These were only 19”. I have currently a 26” that my cats perfer.

My cat uses this more as a play pillow more so than a scratcher. However, he does use it when it's on the floor. It doesn't stay leaning against the wall when he scratches on it, which is why I gave it a 3. Made of good carpet material that doesn't get all over the place like cardboard though.

My cat went right for it and has stayed off my area rugs since. He hugs it like its his honey. lol best investment yet. i bought the stand up nice scratch post with cubby, hammock and top bed and he wont use it. Never ever used the scratch post, and only layed on the top a couple times in the two months i've had that. So i got him a window hammock and there is the other investment that worked. I have never had such a finicky OCD cat in my life. I love my AJAX.

Unless you have a tiny little kitten,this thing will topple over quicker than a house of cards as soon as your cat touches it!It DOES have good carpet material for scratching,that seems durable.But,unless you want this to just sit on the ground (like mine is now,and my cat has ZERO interest in it,because its not "leaning") I suggest a bigger size that'll at least stay put,or even making your own,since the only things on this that are supposed to prevent it from sliding are basically half inch black rubber bands on both ends(that also slide off easily I might add).This thing's probably going back,depending on how much of a pain it'll be to return that is.

I love this! I have two cats and this is the only thing that one of my cats will use (besides the carpet or couch). I had the same scratcher downstairs and just purchased a second one for upstairs. It doesn’t stand up well so I just lay it on the floor which works perfectly because my one cat is a horizontal scratcher. I highly recommend!

Wonderful item for the low price. The carpet is good quality and affixed well to the item, but you must make sure to have the side with the carpet glued to the post facing the back so your cat can't pull the carpet off the post. The top and bottom have rubber stoppers that keep the post from sliding at all from your cat using it. This is a great plus that was not well explained in the listing.The only downside is if you have a big cat. Then you need to go with the bigger/wider sized post that this manufacturer does make.

Buen producto pero no me gustó a mi gato

It takes some trial and error to find out which scratching material your cat likes the best....This is my third scratching post by the same company, we now own the long, wide, and standard versions of this model- they’re honestly the only ones my cat will use.The two others I’ve had for 5 years and have held up wonderfully, they’re still intact with no signs of damage and my furball uses them daily. (She’s an insistent but not agressive scratcher.)Perfect for horizontal scratching, but as other people have mentioned they’re terribly unsturdy if you lean them upright anywhere. If the company would make an optional bracket that you could secure them vertically to something, that would make this product perfect.Besides that, we’re happy with the design (and they’re easy on the budget too!)

Absolutely loving the product and price. Only things is that colors seem random. Mine is in a very not so pretty purple carpet. I was disappointed at first but my cat loves it so it’s making up for it
