Why did you pick this product vs others?:So easy to use

When I chose this item I was afraid it would be harder to use than the gas strut system we previously used. I am pleasantly surprised that I think this is even easier. The product is designed so that you get easy leverage on the cover, and most able bodied people should have no problem using. I purchased this product because being all mechanical it should be less likely to fail over a gas strut system.

Shopping for this at the Spa store is 3x the cost so buying here is worthwhile. What I liked... well made, sturdy, straight forward directions. I replaced a bent arm (wind opened the spa cover), not pretty. This fit the existing setup. Slid in easily.Pros... NONE of the pre drilled holes aligned to get a proper fit. Also, black is not a good color for a hot tub tubing. Baby.. it's hot! I mean really hot! I left the original, silver galvanized tubing (that didn't get damaged) on the top. Does it look a little funny? Yeah. 2 tone. Do I care? not really as the silver tubing stays cool. Though there are foam insulators on the top corners of this lifter... not sure how long they will last in the hot sun. The silver tubing is 8 years old and holding up well.So, get a good drill and drill bits for metal ($9.00). Go slow and wear eye protection. I was able to line everything up and drill in place. Easy peasy.Will update with pics.

This works well. The trick is to pull the cover back. Don't try to lift it. Hopefully you have a handle and space on the backside of your cover. My spa is 102" wide and this lift works. But cannot be opened from a side, it has to be done from the back.This is especially important if you have giant speaker humps like I do.

I really didn't want to add screws into my brand new hot tub and I had minimal space to mount the lift. This fit the bill perfectly and makes removing and replacing the cover a breeze very important to me dealing with arthritis in the hands.

Works amazing and has held up well for a year now.

dont know whats going on with it iits installed correctly fold it back when you go to fold it over again it goes crooked one side stays the other lifts up cant get any advise about why its doing this guess ill have to get in the hot tub to fold it over bad design !!! i hate it

The product seems to be well made and it looks like it should hold up pretty well. I like that it mounts in the back of the spa. It was pretty easy to install and the directions were ok.
