Tweezerman Rockhard Stainless Cuticle Nipper, 1/4 Jaw

I've been buying Tweezerman tweezers and cuticle cutters for years. This is the only cuticle cutter that stays sharp longer than any other brand.

These are very high quality - great ergonomics, fantastic blades, and I like that it comes with a small cover for the cutting tips so they don't get damaged when not in use.

Extremely well made - also quite sharp, so need to exercise a little care in using them.

Have previously used Tweezerman cuticle nipper and found it to be a long lasting and excellent product, but the spring mechanism on this product broke after several initial uses (unfortunately outside of the return window allowed by Amazon)

The 1/4 jaw size is perfect for my small hands and nails, it’s precise and sharp enough but not too crazy that it will leave you bleeding. However the spring mechanism is horrible. It got stuck after just two days of use. I tried separating the arms and reattaching, springs back once or twice and gets stuck again. Not sure how to fix this or maybe I’ll have to give up and return them. I expected more from such a trusted brand.

It pays to spend a bit more for quality and sharp blades that cut the cuticle not tear it off

I was a nail tech for years and these are by far some of the best nippers I have used.

I was also confused about the "1/4 jaw" thing. Apparently you can get clippers in full, 1/2 and 1/4 jaw...which refers to the length of the actual cutting area. 1/4 jaw (1/4 size) are not easy to find, but they are the size that make the tiniest nips and can get into corners and difficult areas around your nails. However, the small size makes them more difficult to master. It is way too easy to make a mess with short little snips that cause more issues than they can fix. Still, this is the size I prefer and I am getting used to this particular pair.These clippers are extremely sharp and someone working at Sephora told me that Tweezerman accepts their products once a year for sharpening for free. I have to look into that if they ever become dull.The only negative comment I have is that the spring that keeps the trimmer stay open is unusual and a bit awkward. Instead of one lever (no idea what they are actually called), there are two that clip into one another. I find the clippers don't open wide enough for me and I have to manually adjust them. Not sure if this will fix itself over time. I have only had the clippers for a few weeks.

Price is ~half of what they charge for this exact model at the drugstore+++Sadly, the tension mechanism broke within a couple weeks (the little piece that slots into the notch chipped off). but it still retains solid functionality

Tweezerman products are the best; usually. But not so with these nippers. Rather than a clean/sharp nip/cut, it tears the skin! These nippers are being returned.

Really good for getting all the cuticle and hang nails out. Lasting well so far.
