Check the sewn in size tag, not the packaging...
I ordered this harness in large but received a medium. I checked the packaging, with said “large” but didn’t look at the attached size tag at the time. Believing the fault was with my measurement of my puppy’s girth, I just tucked it away with other “mistakes” in the closet. Then I decided I liked this style better than the other harnesses I had bought more recently, so I checked this order, saw that I’d ordered a large, and ordered the extra large. Of course, the extra large is much too large, so now I have two mistakes :-) If you order one of these nice harnesses, be sure to check the size tag sewn into the harness itself, so you can return any wrong size within the 30-day Amazon return window.

Yorkies love it
This is what I needed for my yorkies. One is prone to choking because he has collapsed trachea. This one does not put any pressure on the throat. It’s easy to put on and take off. The Velcro hasn’t given me any problems but I wish It was a snap/buckle instead. Just because the Velcro is noisier when taking it in and off. Overall I love this and it is super affordable.

Love this harness
Great harness for my Bichon. I purchased a medium and it fits her with the Velcro fastened as tight as it will go. She weighs 13.5 lbs with a 16” girth. Well constructed and really looks good. She seems extremely comfortable since there is absolutely no rubbing while walking. She also wears it in her car seat with her seatbelt fastened to it. We recently took a 6 hour car trip and she was very content wearing it for the entire trip.Highly recommend.

Stretches out easily, not durable
The good:Truly a no-choke harness.Lightweight and easy to put on the dog.The bad:I needed a size 17"-18" harness for each of my dogs because they both have a girth measurement of 17". Since this harness will fit a dog with an 18" girth, it was too big for my dogs. However, I didn't want the 15"-16" harness because that would have been too tight. The harness stretches out in 2-3 wearings. My Houdini dog backs out of it easily. My other dog turns his head, grabs hold of the harness and chews through it; the first time was on day one. I've repaired the harness 6 times in the 22 days I've had it. The strongest part of this harness is the velcro. Conclusion:The no choke design is nice, but the design doesn't make it worth the high price.

So Far, So Good
Soft and comfortable. My Doxie mix is 14 lbs and I bought her a medium. It is snug under her armpits, but looks like it will stretch a bit. A little loose around her neck; I tried reversing it, but it's the same on both sides. Since sizing is unclear, here is a picture.

Good Choice for Dachshunds
Pretty happy with this purchase so far. I have a dachshund whose breastbone protrudes quite far in the front so I did a lot of research on harnesses before selecting this one. The first time I put it on him, he was a little wary of it since is was new but it took him no time at all to get used to it. He has not pulled out of it yet but I have noticed that it has stretched quite a bit in only a few uses. If I could make one suggestion for the manufacturer, it would be to make the ring slit in the back where it overlaps and the ring slides through longer so it can be adjusted tighter as the harness stretches with age. As it is designed, the ring slit is quite short and does not allow for much adjustment. At the end of the day, I would buy this harness again. As many dachshund owners know, they can be hard to fit properly for harnesses.

Good for dachshunds
My doxies can't reverse out of it if it fits snuggly, where they can reverse out of any puppia or four paws mesh harnesses (I love them but NOT for dogs who brake and back right out of their harness!) I thought they could come out of this Velpro but it fits snug enough around their front legs that it won't allow the harness to slip off their legs. I got the Xlarge for my doxie that weighs about 17 lbs. It could be tighter, so I'm velcroing it tighter and it throws the ring off center, but that is not a huge worry. I might add a bit more velcro or move the ring or add another ring. Spending $40 though, I think it should have some flexibility for making a perfect fit! YOu CAN put tags on the ring if you just keep them underneath the slit the ring goes through so you aren't trying to put the tags through the hole.I do think they could have made them more flexible with a larger hole and longer strip of velcro where they would have more give in size so they would fit individual dogs just a bit tighter. Perhaps have more than one ring so you could put tags on one and use the one most centered according to the fit on each dog. They are also very expensive. If they had a discount for multiple dogs, that would be very nice. At almost $40 each, I can't afford to get them for all my dogs, so they need to be more flexible in fit so they can share! Happy with the product but not the price. I hope they find a way to market the harness at a better price - I'll be a big salesman for them if they do!

Finally found one that fit!
For my short-legged broad chested dachshund mix. After trying 5 harnesses at the local pet store, I took a chance on this one. My dog has very short legs and is broad across the shoulders. I could not find a harness that was large enough to go around her chest, but was not too big around her midsection. This one is perfect for her. With small dogs, you don't want to get a collar or harness that pulls across their throats because of the likelihood of a tracheal collapse. This harness is perfect. She did not pull or try and put on brakes with it one time. The material is soft and it is easy to put on. I will let you know that my pup measures 16" in girth, and the medium fit perfectly.
