Best socks around. I own about 5 pairs of the hiking socks so decided to try the ski socks and was not disappointed. So comfortable and kept my feet warm

These are my favorite socks! My feet are always the perfect temp in them and they do not wear down easy. I go through the other popular brands quickly, usually within a year or so they will start to have holes in the bottom where I put the most pressure in walking... NOT THESE. They still are holding strong and no wear down at all even after wearing them for almost a year and a half.... regularly. They are amazing and don't make your feet sweaty even when you are in them all day in boots. Went hunting during a particularly chilly and wet morning, so I wore them under a second pair of socks and my feet stayed perfectly toasty the whole day outside (my husband's feet froze because he didn't put the pair of Darn Tough socks on that I bought him, he chose is normal hunting socks!!). Needless to say, that while the initial cost is expensive- They are WORTH IT. I own about 4 pairs of DT socks now, and plan to buy a few more this fall now that I have seen how well they hold up! Plus the warranty offered is pretty DARN amazing!

My feet do not get cold, the socks don’t slide around. My feet appreciate the cushioning. Yes, they are expensive but worth the money.

We ordered the wrong size... Look at Manufacturers size chart for correct sizing... If your size is near the low end for this size sock's range ...get the larger one. Otherwise stated, IF your size borders on small or medium.... get medium... IF your size borders on medium or large....get large. These are a wonderful sock and I now wear this brand almost exclusively and "year round". Darn tough does make thinner socks for summer use. Unlike other woolen socks these may be dried in a 'warm' dryer. I generally use medium heat and wash and dry these with my denim jeans and other denim items. Hand washing and hand drying creates a less snug fit... To revive the elastic and tighten up the fit... machine wash and dry.... I Truly enjoy wearing the Darn Tough Socks...

Right fit for foot sizes 8.5-9. The sock stays well on the calf, cushion is there where needed. The fabric is not super soft tho. Feet were warm in -13C temperature while skiing.

These socks are great for the winter! They have lots of cushion on the foot. They come up above the calf, just under the knee. I recommend them!

These were legit Darn Tough socks and really helped at 8 degrees on the mountain. I’m very cold natured so I paired it with toe warmers. It can not overcome a terrible fitting ski boot as far as cushion in the foot area but I did not have any bruises or pain on my shins. Out of all my ski socks? I trust these the most. They’re more pricey than others but they have a lifetime warranty and a higher percentage of Merino wool than a lot of socks online!
